I suppose if you're not going to do a captain on bike, then a second generic assault captain finishes out all ten companies.
Good job, everyone.
Chapter Master of the Exorcists, Aymir Vasaphon.
Captain Juno Salamanka. A steadfast and capable commander, Captain Salamanka’s true noteworthiness lies in his skills as a diplomat. Always willing to address a matter across the conference table before the battlefield, Salamanka is renowned throughout the Ultima Company for his ability to defuse misunderstandings and friction between the Crimson Fists and other factions within the Imperium. Of note was his ability to open dialogue and eventually collaborate when his company butted heads with the notoriously paranoid Dark Angels.
Day 2 of Templar Week, where I’m giving a breakdown on all the characters I built in a frenzy of inspiration. Today I’d like to show off my Marshall.
He’s an Indomitus Captain base but I’ve gone really heavy on Templar accessories and Details. I’ve given him the bits for the Crusader helm, Sword of Judgement and some shoulders and smaller details from the Templar Upgrades kit. As well as the Backpack from the Templar Marshall model and a spare Sword Brethen cape since the Crusaders box has 2.
I’m really proud of how all the little differences manage to spice the model up and feel like a unique character despite how I didn’t do any significant structural changes from the standard Indomitus Captain.
I’ve got some Work In Progress pictures too. As I drybuilt the base and modified and considered details as I went till I finalized the version I eventually settled on. I’m particularly proud of how transferring the halo from the Indomitus ancient head to the Crusader Helm head worked out.
Primaris Captain
Primaris Captain Maximo Volante, it was a total blast painting this guy.
