Coming soon to a big screen near you!
Decided to improve on my previous sketch and give them a name! Now he is Lieutenant Solarion of the Salamanders 2nd Battle Company, wielding his trusty master-crafted power sword, "Sunfire".

"Jaune Gets An Upgrade AU" Day One - (Power Sword / Sword of Protection ) 2 of 2
Jaune: SO this activation phrase?
Catra: Oh, yes. For your sword it's... FOR THE HONOR OF GREYSKULL!
Jaune: Neat! Powerful sounding.
Teela: For yours it's... BY THE POWER OF GREYSKULL!
Jaune: Oooooo... that's even more powerful sounding!
Ren: Seems a bit... contrived and simplistic, if I'm being honest.
Teela: I guess it's true... but try it anyway.
Jaune: Here it goes.
Catra: Don't forget to hold the sword aloft!
Ren looked at Jaune, shrugged his shoulders and sighed, before holding his sword aloft and...
Ren: BY THE POWER OF GREYSKULL!
A bright light slammed down from above enveloping Ren's form. Catra, Teela and Jaune all flinched and turned their heads due to the intensity. After a few moments the light dimmed and then vanished. Leaving Ren changed.
Jaune: Holy Shit!
Ren stood there bulked up, wearing a cape, and shining partial armor.
Jaune: My turn! BY THE HONOR OF GREYSKULL!
A bright light slammed down from above enveloping Jaune's form. Catra, Teela and Ren all flinched and turned their heads due to the intensity. After a few moments the light dimmed and then vanished. Leaving Ren changed.
Jaune: NOT AGAIN!
Jaune stood there, draped in a elegant tunic overlayed with shining armor. His blond hair now a waterfall of silkiness reaching down his back. Unlike the bulked up ren, Jaune had become lythe... and female.
Catra: I didn't expect that.
Teela: Did he just say again?
Jaune: Well I do look good, and I do feel much more powerful.
Ren: ENOUGH OF THIS! YOU!
Author-NovanKenn: Who me?
Ren: YES YOU!
Catra: Who is he talking to?
Teela and Jaune both shurg.
Ren: This HAS got to STOP! It's contrived, and OLD!
Author-NovanKenn: It is not. It's a good gag.
Ren: No it's not! Be original! Or do you have a fetish in turning Jaune into a girl?
Author-NovanKenn: I do NOT have a fetish!
Ren: Seems to me you do... considering how OFTEN you do it!
Author-NovanKenn: So? I mean it has kind of become a trademark plot device for me.
Ren: An OVER-USED plot device! If you don't stop... I'll... I'll
Teela: He seems upset. Does this often happen to you?
Jaune: More than I want to admit.
Catra: That's weird.
Author-NovanKenn: I don't have to defend myself to you. I'm the writer and I think this works.
Ren: I quit.
Author-NovanKenn: You can't quit!
Ren: I just did. Bye.
Author-NovanKenn: Wait! You can't. You're integral to this story!
Ren: Then stop this gender-swap stupidity, or I WILL leave, and you can TRY and make this fic work without me playing the straight man.
Author-NovanKenn: Fine. I'll stop.
Ren: Good. Now reverse all this. Make it not have happened.
Author-NovanKenn: So what? Make this whole segment not exist?
Ren: Yes! Teela and Catra would NOT try and sell the swords. They would TALK to their significant others.
Author-NovanKenn: Fine.
Ren and Jaune stood alone in the center of the walkway, Jaune looking a little depressed at not having more time with his family. ren looked about himself, and nodded. Both were as they had always been.
Ren: Much better.
Author-NovanKenn: This is rather boring.
Jaune: Ren who are you talking to, and why do I feel like I'm missing something that just happened?
Ren: Then be more creative... without a gender-swap.
Ren turned his attention back to Jaune. He smiled and then pointed to some interesting booths in the distance.
