things are slowly getting worse
I talked to Susan today. I’ve been leaving messages for a week with no call back
I have been calling Susan in response to messages she has left but until today I’ve been unable to reach her.
Yesterday Maureen, the neighbor who looks in on her and brings her food, said Susan claimed someone broke into her house through the front door and hassled her before leaving.
Maureen had Brandy, the cop living catty corner from Susan, to check her web cams (aimed to cover the cul-de-sac) to see if someone had in fact gone into Susan’s house through the front door.
Brandy didn’t have video anyone approach Susan’s house for the past 48 hours.
Maureen did tell me Susan looked like she had badly sunburned her face and there were several small burn-like wounds on her neck. Since she constantly aims her blow dryer at her face on high heat, her face and neck have been getting increasingly burned. Her wound doctor is aware of this but can’t get her to stop using the blow dryer and use electric blankets to keep warm.
Susan says she prefers the dryer and besides, everyone knows diabetics can’t use electric blankets because the blanket could burn skin.
Today Susan called, angry that I was bothering her. She sounded weak and miserable.
I asked how she was doing. her response was “How do you think?”
I responded with a comment about how she wanted to be left alone so she must be happy no one is bothering her or butting into her affairs.
She said sarcastically, “well, that’s how you think.”
Susan said she was going to see her wound care doctor Tuesday and that he’d probably tell her the left foot was going to be amputated. I asked if that would be because of PADS (pulmonary artery disease, a common disorder for chronic diabetics). Susan said she’d never heard of that and where did I get my information.
I said it was on her medical summary from a few weeks ago.
And there we go....
She launched into a screed about everyone talking about her behind her back and not talking to her so I had to remind her that we talked about this a few weeks ago.
Her big comment was everyone deserted her. I reminded her that she asked for everyone to leave her alone. She said I didn’t know what I was talking about but that since I was against her she was sure I'd say that.
I reminded her Tony at APS had plenty of resources available to her nd was happy to help, all she needed to do was call him. In response Susan said I had lied to him and she couldn’t trust him.
Oh well......
She did. Not mention. Anyone breaking in.
I spoke with Maureen the neighbor. She will check on Susan later tonight.
