So I saw your humans are space horror series, and I was thinking wouldn’t the kids pick up cybertronian ( or whatever there language is called) I mean there around the bots 24/7.
Plus if they did I fell like that would freak the bots out because they did that purely from exposure and not lessons

And absolutely the kids would pick up Cybertronian like how people pick up random bits of language. Like I know ranfom phrases in german and japanese and don't speak either one of those languages dndnfnfn
So when Ratchet is grumbling under his breath about how shitty our tech is, Raf is listening.
When Bulkhead trips and falls, swearing in Polyhex, Miko is listening.
When Optimus is reading outloud to himself (a hold over from his days as Orion Pax the archivist that he did when he was relaxed), Jack is listening.
The kids quickly pick up all the Bad Words and random phrases.
But the 'bots don't realize it until Miko drops her guitar case on her foot and she screams out some choice phrases she picked up from Wheeljack.
Needless to say, Ratchet is horrified, Optimus is shocked, Bulkhead is mortified, and Bee thinks its hilarious while also covering Raf's ears.
(Later on, Optimus quietly corrects her pronunciation and offers to teach all the kids how to speak the simplified Common Language of Cybertron. Bc they can't make some of the proper noises, or use their electromagnetic fields to add meaning to words.)

i'm ur host, techni and today i will be discussing the weirdness that is Humans.
and our social behaviors!
now. we all know that humans are EXTREMELY social creatures to the extent of mimicking other people and animals to get them to like us more.
don't argue! you have absolutely adopted the way someone you like's way to walking or a phrase they say, or, since ya know. online. they way they type or acronyms they use, emojis, etc.
i've started using little things like -.-' and ^-^ lot to show how i feel about something when i type. i didn't do that before i met a friend of mine. now i use it all the time.
we blink at our cats, mimic physical behaviors of our animals to get them to like us and understand us better. we go around adopting, adapting, all our lives to benefit how we interact with people and things.
now.
let's talk about that with Cybertronians. literally the ultimate mimics.
they turn into cars people. we can't tell the difference unless we're in on the secret. but once we are! we know who they are out of a perfect line up of identical vehicles. its spooky to them how we can just. home in on Ours. people can pick out their pets out of identical looking animals, we can do the same to identical cars and trucks too.
but we're talking about us mimicking the transformers here.
let's take Raf, pre- Cyberforming of Earth.
he's 12 (and a quarter) at the start of the show, a crucial age of development right? he's paying extra attention to everyone around him bc he wants to fit in, his brain is learning life skills, he's developing his main personality at this age.
but now he's also learning behaviors from alien robots.
Miko mimics Bulkhead (and later Wheeljack) on purpose. Jack tries to mirror Optimus bc Dad Shaped.
Raf.... is learning most of his mimicry subconsciously. its little things at first.
the way he sets his shoulders and tilts his head when talking to different members of Team Prime, learned from how Bumblebee shifts his behavior for different interactions. then comes the noises, hearing the way the bots move and the vocalizations they do when they speak, and when they don't.
(bc i headcanon that cybertronians also have a subvocal range that they use to communicate with, and humans can mostly hear it, but they can also feel it)
so when Raf wants to get Ratchet's attention, he makes a chirping hum he picked up from Arcee. Ratchet responds automatically with a low thrum that Raf can feel through his feet.
then Ratchet realizes that it wasn't Bumblebee or Arcee that wanted his attention but Raf. who shouldn't be able to make those noises.
(later, when Ratchet asks June about it, she laughs at him and tells him that there is no other species on the planet that can mimic like we can.
he is... unsettled by this bc his own species is known as the best mimics in the universe, but that's also with the help of their own techno-biology. humans were born with this ability, and no tech to back it up)
Raf making a whirr-meep noise of surprise when startled. Miko rumbling in her chest when she's feeling negative aggression. Jack clicking his tongue when he's focused (something he picked up from Optimus, who ticks his engine over when he's In The Zone or reading something)
humans using tools to mimic the noises the 'bots make too. Miko tapping a rock against a solid piece of metal to mimic the chuah-chuah noise Wheeljack makes when he's content. eventually she doesn't even realize she's doing it.
Raf can't maintain a solid purr-huuuummmm on his own, but he can hum in tune of an idling engine purring in content.
eventually even the adults pick up a few things!
speech patterns, behavioral cues, subconscious body language. we learn from everyone around us our way of doing things, testing them out and either keeping them or discarding them.
and the 'bots watching their little humans learning their behaviors and way of communicating. not just bc they want to make the 'bots comfortable. but bc we are a learning species
And, just a headcanon of mine, Earth has the most diverse forms of life in the universe. Simply bc our planet is Unicron.
There are several MILLION species of insect alone. And this isn't including extinct species we don't even know about.
Picture this:
You're a transformer who has been in space for a long ass time, maybe alone maybe with some buddies. You come from a planet where there isn't a lot of species diversity.
You come to Earth. Take a single step outside.
And are immediately hit with the noise.
Noises animals and insects make. People from miles away. The sky even makes noise. And, from recent discoveries, even plants make noise! They share electro magnetic pulses, and since cybertronians also have electro magnetic fields I headcanon that they would be able to (at least some degree) communicate with plants.
It would freak them out beyond belief but they could do it. (Optimus is fascinated by this and can just sit for hours at a time staring at a tree. The tree has a Lot To Say)
Earth is a deathworld and populated by deathworlders.
We're little crazy bastards who are each born as individuals with our own hopes and dreams and nerfed by our own bodies!
Some of us are born with medical conditions and we still live. We take each day and own it, even if we can't get out of bed. Because just surviving is winning, alright?
In ancient times we hunted animals 20 times our size and won. Made friends with a dangerous predator. Created complicated recipes from shit that would kill us instantly if we fucked up even one step!
We're a bunch of little weirdos!
LET US BE WEIRD.
Let the gotdam ALIENS find us weird, and not just bc we're squishy little sacks of carbon. Organic life can't be that rare in the universe.
Let us be weird because we are the embodiment of nature, of evolution, challenging each day and waiting for the next one.
I like to imagine after the Earth is cyberformed and the war has ended, Optimus introducing humanity to the rest of the galactic counsel as Cybertronians' long lost sibling. Every other race is just stareing at an eldritch techno-organic species that is closely related to the immortal metal giants that have destroyed untold numbers of planets and races in a war that's lasted longer than most recorded history and getting really scared. Then they find out that Cybertronians came from the garden planet and humans come from the chaotic death world that drifts through space and consumes uninhabited planets (kinda like G1 unicron) and they want to cry. Imagine finding out that the worst person you know has an evil twin and the two of them get along great together. If its the kind of verse where Autobots and Decepticons made peace, then you better believe Megatron will be enjoying himself. The only things standing in the way of Cybertronian universal domination was their low numbers, lack of resources and division between their people, none of which can stop the joint Cybertron-Earth forces.
You. You get me.
It's years later and things are going great.
The Cybertronian Civil War is over, Cybertron is being slowly restored and the Cybertronian people have a place they can call home now. Optimus heads the cybertronian faction against his will (there was a vote and it was basically unanimous). Earth 2.0 is doing awesome, and the former squishy humans are now pretty robust techno organic horrors that now have access to SPACE and all the problems that come with it.
We're thrilled. Living the dream here.
Now, everyone is ready to rejoin the wider inter-galactic community bc the humans are getting twitchy and can only be gently directed for so long before Optimus has to take off the leash and let them go feral.
But Optimus is a Smart Cookie ok.
He's political about it. Especially bc he knows that us little assholes love a good fight, and some people literally live to argue.
So the joint forces of Cybertron and Earth present their case to the Intergalactic Congress of Species on why they should be a part of the wider community and get the benefits of that.
The Council takes one look at them and goes "FUCK no" and we all know that humans love being told that they can't do something. Such spiteful little creatures we are <3
So what do we do? We start our own intergalactic government. So far it has two species, maybe three.
But everyone is absolutely Terrified of these weird little monstrosities born from the Chaos Bringer and have the literal walking embodiment of their planet, another Chaos God but less "kill devour consume", walking around like a tourist.
Primus Lite enjoys caramel lattes with hot sauce and burnt marshmallows. He's an easy guy to get along with.
Im happy someone else is acknowledging that Earth=Unicron and Megatron shot it with a magic regen beam. Like, canonically, the first thing the beam made was a giant citadel of evil with its own laser turrent, completely unprompted. I dont see how that would end anyway other than Unicron back and badder than ever with a brand new army billions strong.
Alternatively if all life gets assimilated into the planet and Unicron remians mostly dormant then Earth becomes a semi sentient chaos world. The decpticons try to set up in Dark mount but the defenses automatically start firing on them. Team Prime can walk right in though and they find the castle full of rooms and furniture fit for bots as big as Optimus to as small as Arcee, a med center with every tool Ratchet ever 'needed' on earth, a rec room with cybertronian sized tv and game console etc. Cybertronians start colonising earth where if you're nice to it energon flows free and hot oil pools appear on command but if you do something it doesnt like the earth quakes and acid rains from the sky.

Unicron is the planet, everything living thing has pieces of him in them, one reason for the diversity of life and the pure chaos that is literally Everything on Earth.
We are little chaos beings wrapped up in a squishy little package.
And I like the idea of a cyberformed Earth being semi-aware and refusing to be used for evil purposes.
Like it exorcised Unicron and now the planet is like. A secondary Primus?
Optimus is probably full on proud parent. He's ended the war, kept his remaining family alive and finally managed to protect a planet he set out to defend (some may argue that the complete transformation of the planet and its people isn't 'protected' but everything worked out in the end so-). He's still perpetually exhausted but this is the happiest he's been in millions of years, he even let the children show him a 'meme'.
Now he's ushering a brave new race into the galactic community and he's proud cause Optimus sees the value in all life, "Freedom is the right of all sentient creatures" and all that. When he saw humans for the first time, he didn't see a primitive, backward species of organics, he saw people and potential allies. And when he saw the cyberformed humans, he didn't see eldritch techno-organic mutant hell spawn, he saw (eldritch techno-organic mutant hell spawn) family. So he is dissapointed but not surprised when the galactic community violently rejects the humans (they still dont accept cybertronians either). At least the returning cybertronians are getting along with the humans and putting their differences and factions aside. After all judging people for things they cant control was half the reason they fought the war in the first place and no one wants to go through that again.
Earth is flourishing and Cybertron is being restored then both planets start moving towards each other. Primus has just woken up, happy his children have finally stopped fighting, when he senses something. Where last he felt his brother Unicron, a new presence now resides. Still chaotic and destructive but brighter, more in balance with himself than Unicron ever was. So for the first time since the era of the thirteen, Primus is now actively moving himself towards this presence. He can't wait to meet his new little brother.
Everybody on Earth and Cybertron is more than happy to go along with this (they're already running the space bridges non stop plus it's travelling in style). Totally unrelated apocaliptic prophecies have begun popping up and gaining traction in the wider galactic community, predicting the end of the universe when the two beings of creation and destruction meet. Many of the more accepting races start joining the New galactic community in the hopes they will be spared.
I like how your mind works.
Optimus is absolutely full on Proud Parent, with all the exhaustion and frustration that comes with it. But he loves both of his people, hellspawn and not-hellspawn alike.
Jack is shaping up to be a good young man with strong morals and a gentle nature. Miko is the first human to be inducted into the Wreckers, something that makes the three living Wreckers (Ultra Magnus, Wheeljack, and Bulkhead) proud beyond compare. Raf is monitoring everything, setting up communications between the growing conglomeration they're building together with Cybertron to foster a new age in galactic history.
Sure, there are tensions. People who don't want to be with the cybertronians and cybertronians who just get Bad Vibes from the humans. It happens.
But with a sentient planet that is piloting itself, and a different sentient planet that is reaching for his brother-sister-sibling, ya kinda have to go with the flow whether you like it or not.
There's a community being built right now. Trade being done, stories shared, families built.
Sister races finally together for the first time. Its a beautiful thing to watch.
I once had a dream that is becoming a fan TF continuity about how gods from different cultures (mainly greek and Mexican because I only knew more of them when I had the dream) were so angry at Cybertronians for destroying parts of the earth and killing humans/their followers that they started to terrorize both Autobots and Cons.
My dream was so wacky, literally, OP and Megan fighting and slaying mythical creatures right and left. Until a god (I don't remember if it was Zeus or maybe Mictecacihuatl) literally made a jump scare to both leaders and say to their faces...
"This earth is not yours! And neither is yours!! We do not welcome soules metal beings"
And then... fucking Megatron screamed at the god and don't know what happen next because someone turned on the light in my room and woke up.
But the thought of how Cybertronians would act/react to higher beings... if they exist in the TF universe of course.
Hope you can understand that my dreams are weird...

In my Primus Lite AU.... One of the reasons why humans and Earth changed (besides being descendant of THE Chaos Being) was bc of how much of a hotspot Earth is for the supernatural. I hadn't got to that part yet.
And it wouod be interesting to have the gods of world deny Megatron everything bc "Our world does not belong to the likes of you."
But the 'bots and 'cons being fucking terrified of our forklore that has turned out to be true (either before or after the Cyberforming) is tickling the Brain activity.
