“Balor?” Y/N’s grandmother called, hearing movement upstairs coming from Y/N’s room. “Balor is that you?”
Opening the door, Y/N’s grandmother saw Balor hunched over by her bed on one knee. His head was leaning against his hands that gripped tightly to one another as he seemed to be whispering. Was Balor Praying? The Demon King? Praying?
Then her eyes landed on her granddaughter. Y/N lay still, her skin seemed to be sweating, her breaths shallow, almost inaudible, and her face, it was ghost white, except for a small red dot on her neck, rivers of black branching from the red dot. She immidently knew her granddaughter had poison rushing through her body, her body hanging on by a thread to life. But she also knew her granddaughter was strong, knew her mind was still wide awake and trying to find a way out.
“Balor. What is the poison?” She asked, ready to act.
“Nightshade.” Balor spoke loud enough then went back to his mumbling.
Gran moved quickly, back downstairs and out to the green house to make an antidote. In her haste, Y/B/F came through the greenhouse with a quick nod before she ran up to Y/N’s bedside, both Gran and Y/B/F knew one of them should start healing Y/N and to be ready for the antidote. What they both also knew was they had to be ready, be prepared for Y/N when she is given the antidote.
“Y/B/F, are you ready?” Gran asked, walking into Y/N’s room with a small vial.
“I am.” She nodded, her hands hovering over Y/N’s body, her magic surging into her best friends body, keeping her from falling over the edge. “Should he be here?”
“I’m not leaving.” Balor hissed, his eyes flashing form black to blue, black to blue.
“If you are not calm, you will leave.” Gran spoke firmly, challenging him. “Do you understand me?”
With a nod, Balor moved to kneel beside Y/N’s bed again, chanting something as Gran moved to the other side, placing the vial on the bed side table. Y/B/F seemed to have started sweating, her energy starting to drain, her body only just hanging on by a thread as Gran moved to get a bucket, a damp cloth and slipping something into her pocket before turning back to Y/N’s stiff body.
“Keep calm and know that what we are about to do is cleanse Y/N.” Gran made eye contact with the flashes of black and blue. “So this will look bad but it has to be done.”
“I understand.” Y/B/F nodded, concentrating on her power surging around her arms and hands and into Y/N.
“Balor?” Gran asked, now holding the vial. “I need you to say it.” She snapped after Balor had just nodded.
“I understand.” Balor growled.
“Y/B/F, when I say, stop and press on her stomach.” Gran opened Y/N’s lips, feeling a small breath leave her lips as she chanted a few words before pouring the entire content of the vial into her mouth. “Stop!” she called.
Y/B/F pressed both hands onto Y/N’s stomach, feeling the poison trying to take over Y/N’s body, pushing it up to her chest. Y/B/F knew to keep pushing, pushing the poison up her chest, Y/N’s body reacting, shaking, a gargled scream coming from her mouth. Y/N’s body continued to shake, like she had no control as Y/B/F pushed the poison up her chest.
“Turn her head!” Gran yelled for Y/B/F.
Y/N head turned as she choked, throwing up blood, vile and something black into a bucket in Gran’s hands. Her body continued to throw a fit, like it was fighting within itself before her body slammed back into her bed. Y/B/F hands automatically went back to Y/N’s stomach, pushing the last of the poison out before Y/N sat up, a half choke, half scream coming out of her lips.
“Y/N?” Balor asked.
Y/N sat silent, her body hunching over a little, her skin showing signs of some colour again, taking deep breaths as her eyes looking lazily between the other 3 in the room. Her eyes finally looking at her grandmother who smiled softly.
“I need a cigarette.” Y/N finally spoke.
“Over my dead body.” Gran raised an eyebrow. “Here. You’ll need it.” Gran pulled something out of her pocket, handing it to Y/N with a nod and left with the bucket.
“Is that chocolate?” Y/B/F asked.
“Yeah.” Y/N ripped the wrapper open, taking a bite. “Balor, where’s Finn?”
“He’s safe. Panicked. But safe.” Balor stood to his full height.
“I should talk to him.” Y/N spoke lazily.
“Maybe tomorrow. When you’re stronger.” Balor’s eye twitched, but it was so small Y/N thought it was a trick of her eyes.
“I’m fine.” Y/N took another bite of chocolate. “It’s not like this is the first time I’ve been poisoned.”
“Amazingly this is the third.” Y/B/F smirked. “I’m going home because I seemed to be covered in your vomit.”
“You’re welcome.” Y/N smiled as Y/B/F waved, walking out the door. “Balor, Finn, now. I need to ease his worry.”
“As you wish, Mo grá.” Balor bowed his head slightly.
Black eyes flickering, finally becoming Blue.
