Honestly didn't expect Prince Naemon would make an reappearance on Solstice, I didn't really like (or more like, put much thoughts on) him when doing AD quests, but now I kind of understand him, when Ayrenn suddenly disappeared and dumped all responsibility, he had to take them up, had to prepare for the throne for almost ten years, and suddenly all is taken away from him when he's ready and expected to be a king.

A couple of days ago, when I was going through side quests, I came across perhaps the most interesting one for me.

I know that this is practically the only long post I've ever written here. I think I generally don't know what to write in such cases, lol. But I would still like to share my own thoughts on this matter.

And so. I was extremely surprised and delighted when I saw that the ZOS returned prince Naemon. Ever since the story of Dominion (which is my favorite so far), I've had mixed feelings about it. I felt sorry for him. In my eyes, he didn't seem like a villain, even if he did the wrong thing. I thought it must have been difficult for him to stand up to his own sister. To some extent, I wanted his fate to be different. Perhaps because in some way I understand him and somehow find common ground with him.

But when I saw him again, I was glad he was back. That I finally had this chance to change everything for the better for him. For which I am grateful.

SOTWC EASTERN SOLSTICE SPOILERS

I STILL CAN’T BELIEVE IT! PRINCE NAEMON HAS RETURNED!

I already posted about his defeat but I want to give him more attention like he deserves. Naemon is one of my most favorite ESO characters and I always saw him as a tragic figure. That he now comes back completely and not as a lich but as his true self is awesome. And if he can return, who else??? Leythen? Iachesis? King Laloriaran Dynar???

He got a new hairdo and also has a scar, which is neat and shows time has progressed since we last saw him and that he became more ruthless. And now he is working with the worm cult who resurrected him.

Even better is that he doesn’t die regardless of what choices you make, one choice has you petrify him which is said to only be temporarily before the Dominion picks him up. The other has you picking his side and leading him outside, from what I was told. I wonder how the Dominion will treat him now that he doesn’t look “perfect” anymore?

He also says a few interesting things. He says he hates you but now also despises the Eyes of the Queen and wants you to kill one of them, and is pleased when you show proof you did. He says Estre will be joining him by his side very soon where they’ll get revenge on Ayrenn together and he becomes king.

That he still wants to take the throne, talks about Estre being with him soon and doesn’t die in both choices is proof to me that he’ll return in a later storyline as the main villain along with Estre. Or perhaps the devs will go for a full blown redemption arc and make Estre the big bad again? Regardless, i’m super happy he’s back and never would have expected the devs doing this.
