An Archive of Our Own, a project of the Organization for Transformative Works
A family clinging together. A summer shadowed by dark events. A year of threats and dangers. In a world where most see only good and evil, some must forge their own path in the spaces between.

Blishwick Family Portraits
Misapinoa Blishwick nee Black. 1826-1926. Sister of Phineas Nigellus Black. Wife of Jimbo Blishwick. Mother of Ernest Blishwick.
Misapinoa was brought up in the strict traditions of the noble House of Black. She was a stern and serious woman who bore her husbands eccentricities with some reproach. She was 49 years of age when she at last became pregnant, bearing her first and only child Ernest.
Whilst outwardly dour, and traditionalist, some have suggested that Misapinoa had a secret more frivolous side, and indeed it seemed that she loved her husband dearly despite the headaches he caused her. She was also known to throw rather an enjoyable soiree.
Edit: There is now a fic to accompany these headcanons.

Fic Progress!
I have 13,000 (unedited) words written for The Prince and The Crow: Year of the Dragon! I think I'm finally finding my way and getting into it.
There's some dark and difficult things happening. A lot of running around for a summer holiday. Some humour too as always. Harry is growing. Sirius is learning some shit. But it's hard to let go of the past.
My plot notes/plan is a lot of ifs and maybes still at the moment, but I decided to plough ahead and see what works.
I hope to have the first chapter out by the winter solstice, but I connot promise anything. Send me writing vibes!
🖤🖤🖤Thank you patient readers🖤🖤🖤
The Prince and The Crow - The Year of the Dragon is up to chapter 5 now, and the Quidditch World Cup. As the filming location is just down the road I was going to take some photos there but I haven’t really had a chance to get over there, so here are some photos from a distance; from the north with a beautiful sunset, and the east from birling gap.
Chapter Four of The Year of the Dragon will be coming very soon, but in the meantime I started a little spin off called Blishwick Family Portraits. The first part is about Jimbo and Misapinoa. Just be warned it does have a higher rating than the Prince and Crow series, so pay attention to the tags etc.
Blishwick Family Portraits
Jean-Beaumont (Jimbo) Blishwick. 1818-1926. Married to Misapinoa Blishwick nee Black. Father of Ernest Blishwick.
Jimbo was somewhat of an eccentric, though he also had a lot more charisma than many of the Blishwicks, perhaps how he charmed Misapinoa's parents into agreeing a match despite the somewhat renegade reputation of the family.
He had many hobbies, and was quite fascinated with muggle technology. Later in life (and much to his wife's dismay) he purchased several motor cars which he would drive around the village.
