Serenity groaned as she slowly opened her eyes, sitting up quickly as she realized she didn’t know where she was. Why was she in a strange bed? Where was her Mother? Where was the Moon Kingdom? Had something happened? Was everyone alright?

Mamoru’s gaze was hard and distrusting as he noticed the white-haired man staring at him from a short distance away. The energy residing in him made Mamoru’s insides quiver due to how foreign it was.
What does he want?
While Usagi was always so trusting of others, Mamoru knew not to fall into it so easily. This man did kidnap the woman he loved, not to mention his future daughter, over things that had yet to pass in this time.

The smallest of the four generals of Crystal Tokyo looked down at the kneeling, sobbing prince. Prince. Heh. He looked little like someone fitting that title. The muscled redhead that Nephrite held subdued with a blade to his throat was more princely. The incapacitated woman in a pool of blood from a superficial wound was more a princess. This man? This begging, white-haired man with tear-filled eyes? No.
Zoisite’s gaze was impassive as he stepped towards the so-called Prince and knelt down. The gloved hand grabbed the hilt of the sword - Kunzite’s - through Demando’s legs and pulled it out with a single, deft movement. It would make the wounds bigger, but did he care? What chances did this man have of escaping the palace alive?
When the four of them were reinstated as generals - an act with no ceremony, held in the King’s office as they were informed of the sheer threat to the people that the Black Moon siblings held - there was always the understanding of what that meant. The last time this band of brothers held this title, they had all but ended the world.
Four generals, four horsemen. An apocalypse would come to someone.
“Why?” Slender, white-gloved fingers wiped the blood from the silver blade, staining the kidskin crimson before offering Kunzite his sword.
“Surely you know that a threat is not passively dealt with, let alone three of them.”

Her heart clenched. It shouldn’t have. After all she’d been through because of him, one would think that Usagi could harden her heart. He was her captor. Her warden. And yet, she couldn’t help but feel badly for him. He didn’t understand, didn’t know that love was not something that was just taken and forced. While she would not acknowledge his confession (if you could call it that), she could still understand his pain to some degree.
“I’m sorry,” She murmured softly, her hand clutched to her chest. “I know it feels like that now... But I wonder if you should think about whether that’s what really makes you feel numb...
“Demande, you...” She paused, trying to word her thoughts better, “You seem very lonely. But you aren’t alone. I think you have pushed others away in pursuit of one thing,” her eyes found the hologram of her future self, a shiver ruining through her, “but that’s not healthy. We need friends and family to help us survive.”
“Stop pretending this doesn’t terrify you.”
⨳ — SOFT ANGST;
“I’m not that good of an actress.” She almost snapped, feeling a little antagonized by what the words implied. That he could see through her. That he knew her that well.
She turned away from him after a moment, gaze settling on her lap as her hands clenched at her sides.
“I am terrified. But sitting here and just being terrified isn’t going to help me. So I accepted how I feel. And I’m going to use it to get out of here.”

For the first time in months, she felt content. Today had been successful, and she was maybe even happy with the day’s events. Even her assistant had been shocked by the smile on Esme’s face, but she didn’t care.
After work, she treated herself to a nearby bakery with a nice slice of cake. It was the perfect ending to a perfect day. As she walked out, she flipped her hair, smelling the jasmine shampoo in it. Yes. Perfect.

“You wanted to see me?” Black Lady said, leaning against the door, a curl smirk on her lips. She was pretty sure non of the Dark Moon Clan liked her but then again what did she care, so long as she got back at that stupid Sailor Moon and her pathetic friends.
