How I feel about this character
jon is... jon is my baby. he is one of my absolute favorite characters in the entire series, book or tv. from the very first time they mentioned jon, i loved him. and then he's been through so much: never getting the chance to have that talk about his mother with ned, almost deserting the night's watch to go and fight with robb, but coming back and taking the black and swearing the vows in front of the old gods. i love him. i stan jon snow so hard you have no idea.
All the people I ship romantically with this character
daenerys targaryen. i know they have had absolutely zero interaction, but i have a theory that jon is actually a targaryen, rhaegar and lyanna's son. and that he's the ice of 'a song of ice and fire' and daenerys is the fire. and he'd be dany's nephew and it's perfectly acceptable because they're targaryen's and they marry family. but yeah, i ship jon with dany.
My non-romantic OTP for this character
non-romantic? i ship jon with everyone, non-romantically. jon, sam, jon x robb, jon x theon, jon x ned, jon x benjen. he just gets along with practically everyone and i love the friendships he makes. i'm sad that we didn't get to see enough of robb and jon being brothers and stuff though.
My unpopular opinion about this character
i don't think i really have an unpopular opinion about jon? like, i love him. most people that i know who have read the books, or watch the series, love him too. i'm not sure there's something about him that i think anyone else doesn't necessarily agree with?
One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.
i really, really wish he could have had the conversation with ned about his mother. jon has no idea who she is, or was, and that is something he has a right to know. and with what happened to ned, he never got to find out who his mother was. i wish grrm could have let that happen, but as we all know, grrm pees on every fucking thing you love, so it couldn't happen. as for something i want to happen with jon... i want him to be able to meet howland reed because howland knows who his mother is. also, for him to know bran and rickon and arya are alive.
