Another fic idea I think about but haven’t written about, coming right up!

I am frequently rotating the idea of a Miego My Fair Lady AU, wherein Mia is the sheltered but extremely stubborn village girl who’s determined to become a lawyer, and Diego is the cocky young defense attorney who gets goaded into training her (I suppose in this parallel, Grossberg is Pickering, with whom Diego bets he can turn Mia into a proper lawyer after all.)

Overall, I’d want to hit the same beats of the general MFL plot: culture shock, adapting to a new culture, and realising that you can’t really go home once you’ve changed. and also Mia’s incredibly righteous fury at Diego when she finds out about the bet!

Mia’s first case would be like, the Ascot scenario (where she fails and faced her fears regarding inadequacy), and then her second case with Phoenix would be like the Embassy Ball?? But it’s bittersweet because by this point Diego’s already been poisoned, and when she wins and feels like she’s actually a lawyer, she doesn’t have anyone to share the victory with (except with Grossberg, who accidentally spills the beans about the bet, oops).

ANYWAY yeah, I just want to break my own heart and others’ with Miego coupled with some of favourite tropes, i guess!!
