RP starter for Princeofthehorizon
Agent 8 wandered through the dark forest. She glanced around nervously, holding her Bamboozler defensively and ignoring the pain it brought her bleeding hands. This forest made her uneasy, it felt far too creepy and... wrong. The octoling knew from her years of training that if something felt wrong it was best to be prepared for things to go wrong. Why am I here anyways?, she wondered to herself as she recalled the events of the past few hours...
The octoling had been walking up to an odd fellow that she had never seen before on the Metro. The top-hatted fellow had run off once Agent 8 got close to them, leaving an odd hourglass behind. Agent 8 picked it up and examined it. It was large and wooden with intricate carvings. The sand inside glittered like the stars and just reeked of weird. Then, curse her butter-fingers, she had dropped it on the ground. The hourglass exploded, knocking Agent 8 out. Some time later she had woken up in this heckin’ creepy forest straight out of a horror movie. She had winced at the pain of the cuts from the glass, but ignored the injuries. She had a high pain endurance, with how much she had been splatted in the past it was a necessity. She had found the broken bits of the hourglass next to her and stashed them in her ink-tank/backpack before getting up to scope out the forest.
A few attacks from headless ice statues and giant spiders later and here she was. Agent 8 sighed and glanced upwards, seeing if there were any good vantage points. There were a few ones that could be good to retreat to in the event of a battle, but it had little cover and was quite narrow, not ideal.
Lost in thought, Agent 8 was not looking where she was going. Suddenly, her foot caught on something and she went tumbling face-first into the grass, WHUMP!
The octoling quickly pushed herself up off of the offending object. Glancing back, she realized that she had tripped over someone. She blushed and stuttered out an apology, “Ack! s-sorry about that, I wasn’t looking where I was going...”
