And that she did the right thing.
For me my dislike of Saccharina in A crown of Candy comes down to the tonal shift between Emily and Siobhan and her being so plot convient (solving both the political and the arcane problem) so the player conflict is all that’s left so it came down to pitting traumas against each other instead of having one honest conversation by any of the players and not enough reasons was given as to why they couldn’t have that conversation other than so the plot can happen. Combined that with the fact she’s so overpowered (as a primary spell caster in this lower magic setting, having a cultist mauder army at her command and getting the dragon also being extremely emotionally intelligent and powerful at 5yrs old) which makes her very cool objectively but Zac’s backup was not that over the top or outwardly convient. We honestly don’t spend that much time on Zac’s backup in favor of Saccharina which ties into my other issue. She steps directly on two incredibly vulnerable and impressive dnd moments from Siobhan in ways that while in character were basically “no look at me now” instead of allowing the audience to appericate Siobhan (and Lou’s) performances. I get it was to drive the plot to get us to the conflict at the end but Siobhan doesn’t get nearly as much love from the fans and the dice don’t always let her have dope moments. I think if she was introduced literally any other way and didn’t pull focus from an underrated fave giving a great performance I would also love her.

what I say: I'm fine
what I mean: I'm thinking about the princesses from crown of candy and how when Jet died Emily and Siobhan held hands and cried as Brennan narrated the rest of the scene and my heart BROKE
Some old crown of candy peeps 🍬✨️

a lot of tags about my feelings about this scene below the usual tags!
Please Welcome, Princess Ruby Rocks as her debut into the Circus!
i started watching a crown of candy after i picked it randomly from two other seasons. i got a spoiled a bit before i even started watching dimension 20 so i know how saccharina comes into play, but im so attatched to jet already that im going to be so emotionally wrecked whenever she dies like im not sure if I'll ever recover
also her relationship with ruby/siobhan in this is amazing i don't want it to end
any of you who said a crown of candy isn't that sad i have a feeling you lied to me
