For Keeps | Maya & Miles
More than happy to get his cast taken off, the first text Miles sent out was to his girlfriend. If anyone was going to benefit from car rides and spontaneous visits in the middle of the night, it was her. Not wanting to risk getting caught by her parents, Maya insisted that Miles come over for the night, though she was weary about him driving again. It only took a short amount of time or him to arrive, and he quickly ran to the window of her bedroom. Miles had been slipping through the front door a lot and decided to change things up, he secretly enjoyed the whole crawling through the window thing. Tapping on the glass lightly with the back of his knuckles, the boy grinned as Maya's silhouette moved forward. It was Spring time now, so Miles could get away with wearing a light jacket, and the wait wasn't bitter and cold. Once Maya came to the window, Miles helped push it open, his head peeking through almost immediately. "Hey." He whispered against her lips gently, his cheeks flushing red with a certain shyness he always had around the girl. Miles was quite confident, yet Maya always knew how to make him feel like a nervous little kid. "Oh, I'm sorry, I thought this was my girlfriend's house." Grinning as he teased her, Miles pretended to turn around, as if he were going to walk away from her completely. His heart was practically thudding in his chest as he thought about being with her again, this would be the first time in a long time that he'd be seeing her with their official title.
Text: Maya
Frankie: WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME?!
I may or may not be currently wearing your shirt. Can I help that they're super big and comfy?
You may or may not be the cutest girl I know, but I'm definitely biased. Does this mean I'm free to share your wardrobe as well? ;)
Maya&Miles
Name: PeytonGender: FemaleGeneral appearance: She has curly blonde hair and hazel eyes. She's short and slender and likes to wear dresses, also she always wants to wear her mom's glasses so that she can be just like her.Personality: She's got all of Maya's sass and even a bit of Miles' sense of humor. She's very smart for a little kid and really in tune with her surroundings.Special Talents: She takes piano lessons and wants to start playing violin too, but her parents are waiting to see if she'll change her mind before buying her one, since she always goes back and forth on what instrument she wants to learn how to play.Who they like better: Miles, only because he doesn't know how to say no and tries really hard not to be like his dad. Maya is definitely more firm with her, but of course their daughter loves Maya's hugs and cooking and cuddling with her.Who they take after more: They are literally just like Maya.Personal headcanon: She likes to look through her parent's ipods to listen to their music. She refuses to listen to any kiddie songs and only likes hearing what they like.

Miles and Maya had planned an evening to study together, with her dyslexia out in the open, Miles was willing to help her sort through the "issue" together. He'd hired her a tutor, but sometimes he worried that maybe she just needed somebody there who actually cared about her. Miles pulled his chair closer to Maya, reading over her English assignment and double checking for any misspelled words or backwards phrasing. "You're doing so well, Maya. I'm really proud of how far you've come." He said quietly, his eyes still focused on the paper in front of them. Glancing up for a few moments after, he noticed a huge grin grow across Maya's face, one that she was desperately trying to hide. He knew how difficult writing could be for her, so it made sense that she'd be so thrilled over such a small compliment. In that moment, Maya lit up the entire room for Miles, it's as if nothing else mattered. He only cared about making Maya happy like that, always. He knew he was in love.

Miles loves the fact that Maya is so selfless and caring when it comes to the people in her life. Sometimes he doesn't know how to handle that kind of care, but it's what drew him in from the beginning. He always thought she was very different from his usual "type", and he appreciated the fact that she actually wanted to get to know him for who he truly is.
Hey, I've seen you around Degrassi before! Your games look super cool, if only I had any skill in playing them.
Well thank you, that’s quite the compliment! You should give them a try sometime; you might surprise yourself. I spend a bunch of time in the computer lab, and I’d be happy to help you out.
