I hear positive comments about it, I read overexcited reviews, and I’m genuinely shocked and horrified. I can’t explain this. This is madness.

3 fandoms game
i...wasn’t tagged by @newtmazing but you said if anyone who saw your post felt like doing it they could so... :D
Rules: Choose any 3 fandoms (in random order) and answer the questions. Then tag some friends.
I choose:
lord of the rings
teen wolf
the maze runner
character posters: Fingon
Then Fingon the valiant, son of Fingolfin, resolved to heal the feud that divided the Noldor, before their Enemy should be ready for war. Long before, Fingon had been close in friendship with Maedhros; and though he knew not yet that Maedhros had not forgotten him at the burning of the ships, the thought of their ancient friendship stung his heart.

Kissing scenes to rate/analyse: 1) lehdenlaulu(.)tumblr(.)com/post/188282387622 (no actual kissing but...you know ;)), 2) yagotovotvechat(.)tumblr(.)com/post/184082604598, 3) natashasromanof(.)tumblr(.)com/post/147006179708
Okay. *rubs hands together*
1) It’s partially the context that makes the scene so affecting. I mean, she wakes to the taste of his blood on her lips because he, weak and dehydrated himself, has been letting her drink from his vein to keep her alive and it’s like… platonic devotion of a soldier to his general, I guess. But then she shifts closer to him and reaches for his hand and he just curls into her and presses his lips into her hair with the softest smile and they just quietly, subtly acknowledge the heft of love there lies between them and gah. It’s all very understated and tender and poignant. 10/10, A+++++.
2) It’s a cute kiss, certainly, but honestly not all that interesting one to analyze in itself. It’s sunlit and sweet and a long time coming, but in the end rather basic, cinematographically anyway. So, 6,5/10? Personally, I find the scene on the plane where she holds his hand and he just looks at her with this dopey devotion like she’s the most perfect and precious thing in the world, much more interesting. The slow zoom and the lighting, with her in the sun and him half in shadows? *chef’s kiss*
3) I don’t really have a context for this one because I never watched the show beyond a stray episode here and there, but… the cinematography is just typical, static, shot/reverse shot TV dialogue stuff so it’s solely on the actors to sell the scene. And it’s tropey and sappy but it’s all it needs to be, I suppose, to be emotionally satisfying to the viewers. (Side note: She’s good, but either his character is pretty stoned or he’s just not a very impressive actor. 😜) 4,5/10

I KNEW you'd bring up the T'Challa/Nakia hand-holding scene YAAAAS #peakromance thanks, big sis <3
And you didn’t ask me about that? Tsk, sister. ;)
I wish you would write a one-shot of Ty and Tandy talking/bonding during the early hours of the morning after the s2 finale bus ride (optional: they stay up to see the sunrise, too) *wink* no pressure, tho :-*
Ooh! That’d be a real challenge to me, though, because writing modern-day American teenagers is probably the most difficult thing I can imagine. Other people make everything into High School AUs, I’d rather write Star Wars AUs or post-apocalyptic AUs or time-travel AUs or literally anything else. :’DI’ll see what I can do though. ♥
