I know I already asked, but I have to ask my OTP too. PruAus.

Oh god PruAus. Honestly my biggest reason for shipping this at first was the history (because oh man did IRL Prussia and Austria really hate each other for a long time) and I was like WOO HATE SEX. However, as I began to read more fic and explore their characters my perception of them changed. I see them both as massive dorks who both like to pretend they hate each other, but secretly admires the other's qualities. Prussia especially doesn't know how to deal with having fallen in love with such a prissy little musician, so he takes it out on Roderich with teasing (stereotypical grade school boy much?). Roderich can't stand he's falled for such an uncultured ruffian, and is doubly discouraged because of Prussia's antagonism. However, I think as we move towards the present and Prussia is staring to mellow out a little, he can finally admit his feelings and they can try something. I think Prussia would be really good for bringing out Roderich's more adventurous side and encouraging him to have fun, while Roderich would definitely help Gil appreciate his own interest in arts and culture (imagine a piano flute duet hnnnnng) which they could share together. They go on the widest array of dates, from skiing the alps to attending Viennese operas.

You just HAD to send this one didn't you? 

I adore SwissAus, as anyone who has been following me for any amount of time probably knows, and there are a lot of reasons why. For starters, I really like their history of a really close childhood, and I like to think that closeness never really fully died and that they always hold a special place in their hearts for each other because of that. Beyond that, I think their personalities go really well together once they can get over their fucking pride problems (SwissAus is a "my pride makes this relationship impossible" ship like no other). Once they can admit their feelings, they have complimentary values -- Vash likes to defend and protect, Roderich needs someone to do that for him. Vash needs someone to wind him down and take care of him emotionally, and I think Roderich is well suited to do that. Plus, I like that they would probably be able to joke together and have a healthy friendship beyond their relationship, because they are both SASSY AS FUCK. I feel like they have a lot of times where they are just mercilessly teasing each other and eventually just dissolving into laughter and calling themselves assholes (occasionally Vash's feelings get hurt, but Roderich always makes it up to him). I think they just balance well, rough Vash and delicate Roderich.

Plus, I have to admit writing them made me love them. The character examination you have to do to write a fic is super intense, and the more I got into writing Mourning Lilies, the more I discovered how well their characters go together, and the more I shipped it.
