Because when you do that you put an undue burden on Sam and your anger over his decisions with the shield is really anger about Steve and about yourself and who you've been, sir,,,, just because you know you can never live up to what you think Steve thought of you, that doesn't mean that Sam is making a judgement on you by refusing the shield.
