So the loki in the latest what if is huge, my immediate reaction was “oh, so he COULD have grown full size.” i think in the film Odin calls him a “runt.” do you think this means the first Loki was malnourish or was he possibly under some enchantment that limited his growth? Or did he possibly self actualize a smaller height with his own powers because he grew up thinking he Aesir?
heh, I was actually just talking to an anon or two about this. let's see...okay, this was my first post laying out what seem to be the basic options (although your last suggestion is also a good one), and then here's the first ask and here's the second. the short version: it seems like the most straightforward explanation is that the Loki of that timeline just wasn't born a runt to begin with.
