i made a fanart of these 3 bc they are my blorbos. now, i shall yap about them about their impact on me
Firstly, I started playing AC3 back in 2020. Ratonhnhaké:ton was such a lovely character especially when I played the homestead missions. I loved his interaction with Maurice where he was head over heels for Myriam, Ratonhnhaké:ton went "We all like her." and Norris was like, "Not like that, Connor" then he realized what he meant AND I LOVE THE FACE HE MADE HE WAS SO CUTE MAN. That scene is my core memory. Anyways, because of him, I was inspired to make a Katipunera Assassin, Emilia Salvacion who renamed herself "Malaya" after joining the Kalinga Brotherhood in the Northern Philippines.
I almost forgot, I went with the Animal Spirit outfit cuz that DLC storyline is more "fantastical" kinda like Kahhori and Olrox. I mean, he can summon wolves and turn invisible so of course I'll put the Animal Spirit Connor next to a Tesseract-powered woman and an elusive snake man.
Speaking of...
MY SHAYLA!! MY SHAYLAAAAAAAA!! I AM SO OBSESSED WITH THAT SNAKE MAN YA'LL PROBABLY ALREADY HAD A CLUE WHEN I POSTED QUETZALCOATL I WAS FOAMING AT THE MOUTH WHILE I WAS DRAIWNG HIM!!!
While obsessed with him, I realized I have a type. My childhood crushes were Raven and Blackfire from Teen Titans, and any goth character with straight black or purple hair. Holy shit. Am I into purple people???? (not purple guy tho im not a fnfaf fan)
Anyways, he's another Native American character that inspired me to make a Filipino character. This one's name is Dayaw, my aswang OC that I have yet to talk about. Here is an artwork of him.
[insert that one meme about Dr. Doofenshmirtz and 2 nickles]
The fact that I only learned recently that some people call us Filipinos the "Mexicans of Asia" made me go even crazier for my aswang boy and my favorite snake man. It's like if I put them in a Venn diagram it's a PANCAKE. THEY ARE SIMILAURRR with a few differences
Lastly, Kahhori. Another Kanien'kehá:ka character that I fell in love with. I couldn't yap enough about her in my Twitter post so I will do it here. Her powers, her abilities, her determination, she as a person in general and the fact that she came back from the Sky World to save her people- OOOOAAAUUGHHHHH I LOVE HER
My ancestors would've loved to have those powers, man. Because wdym you can blast off colonizers with sick blue powers that go boom boom?? I want that!!
Unfortunately, I don't have a Filipino OC based on her so no we are not getting a 3rd nickel today boys (gender neutral)
HOWEVER i am currently thinking about making a Mohawk vampire OC that I named "Night Lady" cuz I'm basing her off of the Sky Woman from the Iroquoian creation stories
STUCKY VS STEGGY: A Stolen Love Story
"Tainted Love"
A study in copy-and-pasted romantic parallels, brought to you by years of spite and by anger at the Doomsday leaks of the upcoming bullshit.

Steve and Bucky's journey IS a love story, and while "love story" is a storytelling framework that doesn't necessarily have to equate to "romance," in the case of them it does. The argument for it is clear and easy to construct, and in recent years, Marvel's given us more tools to do so through their audacity of stealing Stucky's story elements for Steggy. And while no one with a brain thought Stucky would ever be made more explicitly queer on screen, Marvels' attempt to course-correct by ignoring the centricity of Stucky's love story requires a level of character assassination for Steve that's as insulting as it is laughable. Steve had moved on from Peggy in the MCU (and that could be shown in a separate video of its own), but even more than that, he would never leave Bucky behind—especially after having just lost him again. Literally who is that man.
RIP Steve Rogers. He ain't dead but he might as well be!
