"You wanna help me out of this dress? :c"((Because Drac is a dorkpire who gets stuck in them and needs her big bro to keep her from staying stuck and crying~.;D))
“You wanna help me out of this dress?”
The annoyed little squeak which followed shortly after those words told Kain everything he needed to know. With a smirk he left the shot of absinthe he was just about to drink back on the counter and peeked over the large column separating the living room from the sleep quarters.
Amidst the various draperies serving instead of walls stood Drac, clad in a gorgeous deep purple silk dress which ran all the way to the ground, reflecting the ambient lights like the scales of a fish. Blue-green, deep magenta, the colors shifted and changed with the slightest move.
The little vamp’s frustrated expression was what made Kain focus again, reminding him that the neon rave night was over and he wasn’t supposed to keep being distracted by every pretty color which came into his vision.
“Come on, I just want to put my pajamas on already!”
“Just a second there darlin’, turn around-” He motioned with his arm, momentarily perplexed again when Drac turned her back towards him gracefully.
Stepping closer, he pushed the long waves of Drac’s hair over one of her shoulders, and quickly found what was the problem - as per usual, one of his sister’s unruly curls had caught up in the dress’ zipper.
“Shush now, stay still. Don’t want to pull any hairs.” Kain’s tone was light and teasing as his fingers, augmented and human alike worked deftly to free the lock of hair with minimal hassle involved.
“What would I do without you sweet cake?” Drac sighed with relief as she felt the pressure ease up from her hair, the zipper sliding down freely.
“Perhaps walk around dressed like the princess you are all the time?” Smiling, Kain covered her shoulders with the soft peignoir he’d just fetched from the nearby chair and turned away, leaving Drac to finish changing clothes in peace.
Glass of absinthe in hand again, Kain felt his gaze follow the little sparks across the green liquid, vivid like grass and deep as emerald, until he heard soft footsteps approach behind him. A light peck on his cheek and the brush of hair were what finally made him look away.
“Wanted to say thank you~ And goodnight.”
“Goodnight little one.” He watched Drac retreat into her bedroom with a bouncy step, small smile resting in the corner of his lips.
