Want To Watch Prince At The Grammy’s Outside The U.S.A? Read How…..
The jury is still out as to whether his Purple Highness Prince will be performing at tonight’s Grammy Awards at the Staples Centre in LA. There was been HUGE rumours circulating for a few weeks that the ‘Funk N Roll’ genius has something very special planned and will make a ‘surprise’ appearance but, as always with the eccentric legend, nothing has been confirmed.

#Princewatch 💜
It's literally killing me knowing Prince is playing in London tonight and I'm not gonna be there. This show is gonna be so good.
Even if I went there the chances of me getting in would be practically zero. Capacity is 200 and there's about 1000 in the queue apparently. There are rumours of 2 shows tonight but that's still only 400 people seeing Prince.
I’ve just got back from Kings Place and a very intimate Prince gig.
I didn’t manage to get into the first show and I was very luck to get into the second. The queue was cut not far behind me and 100s of people must have been turned away. Tickets were £70 this time. No last minute price drop to £10 but it was so worth it.
The small room only held around 400 people. I was on the 6th row in the centre, a mere meters away from Prince. You can see by the picture how close I was.
This was advertised as an acoustic jam session but after a handful of acoustic tracks a large screen rose to the ceiling revealing speakers, amps and a full drum kit. This turned into a full rock show.
The set list is a bit of a blur. Songs definitely played include Lets Go Crazy, Play That Funky Music, Screwdriver and Endorphin Machine. At one point Prince took over the bass guitar and it was amazing.
Prince and the band came back for an encore of Purple Rain and it was extended because the crowd were so into it.
When everyone had left the stage the crowed continued to chant and cheer. We weren’t ready to leave just yet. Unfortunately Prince had already played past the venues curfew of midnight. He did return to the stage one last time with the whole band to take a bow and then it was over.
I’ve managed to see Prince at the Shepherd’s Bush Empire and now at Kings Place. Another London gig has been confirmed for Sunday and also a gig in Manchester.
I think #princewatch is over for me now. Unfortunately I can’t keep going to these shows, especially if they’re £70 each. It’s been fun though.

Rumours circulating of an acoustic jam session happening tonight in London.
I’ve got a cold but I’ve also got paracetamol, Sudafed and a bag packed. If there’s a proper announcement I’m there.
Thinking about the Prince gig last night. If another one is announced and I can get there I'm definitely going.
