As  the  last  days  of  spring  bleed  into  autumn,  the  accommodating  streets  of  Diagon  Alley  are  transformed  to  celebrate  our  favorite  time  of  the  year  here  at  the  Daily  Prophet  ─  the  Autumnal  Equinox  Festival.  This  author  has  gotten  the  chance  to  interview  a  few  entrepreneurs  from  beloved  establishments  such  as  Rosa  Lee Teabag,  Florean  Fortescue’s  Ice  Cream  Parlor  and  Gambol  and  Japes  to  get  a  first  look  at  the  plans  for  this  year’s  festival.  Besides  the  customary  street  vendors  pushing  their  assorted  wears  such  as  enchanted  pumpkins,  spiced  candles  that  change  scents  to  reflect  the  mood  outside  (  this  author  suspects  a  modified  Amortentia  potion  in  action  which  is  a  stroke  of  ingenuity  ),  as  well  as  charmingly  muggle  decorations  in  preparation  for  Samhain  or  Halloween,  as  it  is  more  commonly  known,  I  have  been  told  that  there  will  also  be  a  special  theater  group  performing  for  the  duration  of  the  festival,  pulling  from  classic  wizarding  Samhain  stories  to  reinvigorate  the  love  of  our  Celtic  festivals.

Wixen  who  are  particularly  interested  in  the  latest  styles  from  across  Europe  will  also  be  glad  to  hear  that  there  will  be  a  new  Fall  Collection  released  by  Spanish - born  fashion  mogul,  Manuel  Dominguez  ─  Señor  Dominguez  was  responsible  for  half  of  the  styles  seen  at  last  year’s  Samhain  celebrations,  if  you  can  recall,  so  this  author  will  definitely  be  getting  their  hands  on  his  flawless  designs  as  soon  as  it  hits  the  shelves.  In  collaboration  with  the  British  Ministry  of  Magic  and  the  International  Confederation  of  Wizards,  Señor  Dominguez  has  also  agreed  to  give  a  price  reduction  for  those  who  purchase  this  new  Fall  Collection  within  the  duration  of  the  festival,  a  marketing  strategy  that  most  of  the  businesses  in  Diagon  Alley  have  since  followed.

The  astrologers  have  counciled  with  the  Centaurs  and  a  date  has  been  predicted  and  set  by  the  Ministry  ─  the  Autumnal  Equinox  Festival  will  last  an  entire  week  starting  from  the  22nd  of  September,  1984,  with  the  opening  ceremony  beginning  at  8:00pm  on  that  first  day,  so  be  sure  to  keep  an  eye  out  for  the  treats  that  I  have  mentioned,  as  well  as  the  multitude  of  other  games,  performances  and  wears  that  will  undoubtedly  be  present  at  the  festival.

aaaaand  we  are  open  for  interactions  !  it’s  been  a  wild  eleven  days  since  we  dropped  in  the  tags  again  and  having  so  many  members,  and  wonderful  ones  at  that,  is  still  extremely  heartwarming  for  the  both  of  us.  we  expect  everyone  to  enjoy  this  little  article  and  see  this  week  as  a  prologue  ─  please  note  that  in - character  time  will  run  different  from  ooc  time  for  a  while.  for  us,  in  real  life,  this  week  will  run  from  today,  the  22nd  of  september,  until  the  29th  of  september  (  with  the  possibility  for  an  extension  should  our  members  request  for  it  ),  when  the  actual  event  will  begin.

the  announcement  above  can  and  should  be  used  in  your  threads  as  the  wizarding  community  prepares  for  the  equinox  festivities  but,  for  now,  you  may  write  as  you  wish,  from  flashbacks  (  please  refer  to  this  little  note  )  to  the  current  events  of  the  days  of  the  17th  of  september,  1984  to  the  20th  of  september,  1984  from  your  characters’  lives.  more  information  about  the  event  will  be  released  on  the  day  of  its  start,  but  if  there  is  anything  you’re  curious  about,  please  don’t  hesitate  to  message  the  admin  team  !  happy  writing  !

hi lovebugs! as mentioned on the main, we would decide the opening date for interactions on discord, and our members have spoken and the date will be tomorrow, the 22nd of september, wednesday at 2 pm, roughly 24h from now ( you can use this time converter to figure out the exact time pertaining to your timezone, if you’d like ). we will be issuing a plot drop that will influence your interactions, but feel free to plot as you wish towards first threads as we will be giving a time in between the opening and the event that will take place next week. i don't wish to spoil for more details, so you can be on the lookout tomorrow for the full thing!

hello guys, the time has come! our submit is officially closed for the evening, and we will begin reviewing the apps we have received. i can not express how surprising the feedback has been, and how flattering that was to the both of us; the support given by our friends, the first applicants and reservations, was instrumental and you guys know i appreciate you so very much but also to all the applicants who have made this prologue so successful - - as i’ve gushed about before, the quality of the apps received is excellent, and every single one of you have been very understanding and we hope to continue working together to make this group wholesome for everyone. 

i will stop rambling because it’s too much, but before i finalize this: please pay attention to your ims! we will be messaging people for any necessary ammendments until opening tomorrow - - and if we take a little too long, we hope you can understand as helga and i are in very different timezones and need to touch up on everything, but you will have time to make any fixing too. for those with reserves, the warning i’ve sent on the ims stands: if you reserved before submit closed, please let me know and i’ll open the submit to sneak in your app before opening.

as  noticed,  the  activity  both  on  the  main  and  on  the  dash  has  been  down  as  of  late  !  we  still  had  a  final  plot  drop  and  ideas  to  get  on  to,  but  we  have  been  struck  by  a  lack  of  muse,  time  and  overall  discouragement  that  we  believe  may  have  spread  towards  our  members,  so  we  have  decided  to  shut  principiumhq  for  the  time.  maybe  we  will  try  3.0,  maybe  not,  but  either  way,  we  want  to  thank  current  and  former  members  for  all  your  work  and  apologize  if  your  experience  was  not  great  ─  we  certainly  hope  it  was  pleasant  !
