So my friend’s sister beat me to the punch on the grocery store. Instead I will try to work out.

Bedelia Part 2! I had such a great time doing this photoshoot. And I gotta say major thanks to princelesscomic for creating such a fun character to emulate. And Super thanks to chrissyplaysdressup for being a pal and an awesome photographer! And one last thanks to that old man who saw us taking pictures and wanted to jump in on the fun!
Diary of an aspiring comic book writer: Back to School Stress
School starts next week so that’s the worst thing never. This could maybe be the last entry before I explode from my horrible schedule in school but I really doubt it. Anyway I want to talk about school and even my Wish writing is slightly tied into that.
As an aspiring comic book writer I often feel like I’m screwing myself over by going back to college (or university for people who call it that). It’s taking tons of my time and filling me with debt. One of the things loans are great at is saying “If you leave school you owe us money now so you need to get into more debt now please.” So I’m in a position where even if I wanted to at this point I got to finish a degree to get some kind of real job that pays enough money to pay off all the money I owe to get a degree to do something I don’t love to pay of a debt. It’s a horrible cycle when all I want to do is hone my craft. I would love to move into a degree of creative writing or something but that is a degree that gives no extra security and still has me take BS classes.
For me school is totally this thing totally exists as my plan B since plan A is to do as many creative things as possible and make some money off of as many as I can. This mentality is transferred onto Seth/Wish as a character. Seth is more aimless in his desire even being a hero he just doesn’t feel right with the idea of dropping out of college plus it doesn’t pay the bills (at least not at the beginning). Seth will attempt to make money by taking pictures as Wish but is horrible at taking pictures so just runs a blog, something like Keep Star City Strange.
Mighty Avengers 9-14, Hexed 12, Loki Agent of Asgard 17, Princeless Raven: The Pirate Princess 2, Fiona and Cake Card Wars 2, Rick and Morty 5, Invader Zim 2, and Princeless 1.
So this week I finished several amazing series. MIghty Avengers was a freaking fantastic team book loaded with diversity and amazing characters. The series made me really like Blue Marvel, Luke Cage, White Tiger, and spectrum. i think my take away as a writer from it was when you have a team try to find awesome ways for them to work together. Mighty Avengers always has teammates doing cool combo moves. Also written by Ewing (with an amazing creative team) Loki 17 came out with what felt like a perfect ending for the series. Hexed 12′s ending was a tiny bit sad but an amazing ending to a series I really loved. Raven was one of the best single issues I ever read with so many call outs against gatekeeping in communities. Card Wars issue 2 wasn’t as strong as issue one but it did some awesome things with it’s card battle so I still rather enjoyed it. Zim 2 and Morty 5 were both tie ins that worked for me as a fan but I don’t think they were loaded with specialness. Princeless issue 1 was a find for me in a used book stone and god I loved that issue too. It is a perfect issue 1 that gave me a look at the heroes history, gave her a conflict, set up the stakes, set up the society, and gave really solid goals.

Princeless variant cover process post. Half way through I ripped up the cover and started over because I saw some mistakes in the pencils I had to correct. So this post contains some pics from two different pieces.
I felt extra pressure to get this right because Princeless is my 11YO daughter’s favorite book :-)
