HOIIII don't have any art of Print Error rn that I haven't shared, besides like concept art (which I do plan to share)
as for backstory. still a work in progress but I have some stuff
they were originally a normal Sans from an AU I'm just calling PrintTale, which had a limited color palette (trying not to get too much into detail since I do plan on making a post on PrintTale, just don't know how exactly I'll do it)
during a hangout with the human and his brother, Print!Sans noticed a "color overlap", which is just a rare visual bug where the texture of something with color gets misaligned during a random interval
it peeked his interest enough that he eventually started studying and trying to understand how it worked
events happened, haven't decided if the timeline or the entirety of PrintTale collapsed, and Print!Sans was left as the only survivor, now having all of the colors of the collapsed timeline/universe absorbed into him, replacing his originally pure white and cyan appearance with pure black, secondary, and primary colors
he was found by an out!code shortly after and was brought to the Omega Timeline, which Print!Sans, going by MisPrint in this form, stayed in for some time
due to an overflow of color, which monsters and even humans from his AU didn't handle well if they weren't naturally born like that, and overwhelming guilt, grief, regret, and self hatred, MisPrint was not doing good
people did try to help, but MisPrint eventually broke and had to be taken out of the Omega Timeline for others' safety and their own
I think MisPrint's break caused the layered color effect Print Error has
don't think MisPrint was directly put into an Anti-Void, but I think they did end up in one somehow, which eventually led to them becoming Print Error
really tried to summarize/explain what I've thought up for their backstory and it's way shorter than what I expected TwT
also I lied about the art
I do have one drawing of Print Error I did a while ago, that also includes their previous two forms. it's just a drawing I don't really like that much, but I'm deciding to post it anyway as it's the only one I've finished with all three included and there might be people who like it 🤷

- Goes by Print Error, Print, and Cmyk (C-m-y-k or C-myk)

- Theme song could be called Typographical Error, Misprint, or Typographicalovania
- Birthday is June 19th a.k.a 19/06, a reference to when CMYK was first used in 1906
- Often has printer and printing related errors, usually related to ink and memory
- Thermoanesthesia and cold to the touch
- Very rubberbandy and leaves after images, which you can physically touch
- Three tongues colored cyan, magenta, and yellow respectively
- Thick cyan, magenta, and yellow strings
- Not really there in the head
- I mean very fragmented mind
- Usually absent minded and can forget very quickly < scatterbrained
- Perfectionist due to not tolerating mistakes, no matter how small
- In fact absolutely despises mistakes
- Thinks any mistake can cause a catastrophe
- Doesn't tolerate mistakes others make either, but only gets exasperated and mad at them

- Was a Sans from an AU called PrintTale
- Was interested in "color overlapping"
- Tried studying it but somehow ended up destroying his AU
- Was originally white and cyan, but his mingling in how the color layers of his AU worked, aka the fabric of his universe's reality, got it destroyed and made him cyan, magenta, and yellow, with sections of colors overlapping and making more colors like red, green, blue, and most prominently black.
- CORE!Frisk found him after his AU's collapse and took him to the Omega Timeline
- Was fascinated by the colors he's never seen, but wasn't in a good state of mind
- Was in severe grief over losing his universe, and severe guilt for being the reason behind its collapse
- The excess of color he now possessed was also not helping him mentally
- Eventually he lost it
- CORE!Frisk was practically forced to kick him out of the Omega Timeline
- He couldn't be put into any AU without risking the destruction of them, so CORE!Frisk sent him back to his AU- or what was left of it
