I was watching one of those fashion reality shows and the first challenge was to create a “red carpet look”. I thought a paisley tuxedo would be a good look for such an event, with solid-colour lapels so that a statement necklace would still be noticeable if worn with it.

This floral printed jacket has a fanciful button arrangement down the centre. The lapel collar buttons down as well, and there are decorative buttons on each side of the pocket openings. 

The dress worn under the jacket has a larger, decorative rosette in the place of the top button, and lace around the collar.
