La Linotype che è un po' la storia della tipografia, la nostra storia. E ricordo il robot gigante che mi sembrava da bambina, e quelle lettere di piombo una dietro l'altra che che come per magia diventavano parole. E papà che mi spiegava cosa succedeva. La guardi e vado via stanca, ma con il sorriso. #Repost @mfa_ukraine with @use.repost_ . . . One year ago, on May 23, 2024, a Russian missile strike destroyed the “Factor Druk” printing house in Kharkiv. The attack reduced 50,000 books to ashes and killed seven employees who were printing children’s books at the time.

A year later, “Factor Druk” has been fully restored and is operational again! We are grateful to the Howard G. Buffett Foundation for providing critical assistance in reconstructing the facility.

📚 “Factor Druk” is one of Ukraine’s largest printing houses, producing books, magazines, and newspapers for millions of readers. Its restoration is a powerful statement that Ukraine’s culture will not be silenced and that our stories will not be erased. The world stands with Ukraine, and together, we are proving that resilience and solidarity are stronger than destruction.
