kuru in itself is really interesting once you get down to the codon 127 mutation but I feel like a lot of people don't give the fore people the respect they deserve rather they paint them as "primitive tribe that eats people" which in itself is incredibly racist instead of understanding that a) to them eating the dead was a sign of respect b) the use of the dead and exocannibalism is not rare and in fact Europeans were using mummies in paint and as medicine (they didn't respect these bodies frankly) so like let's jot that down....anyway if you're going to talk about kuru please for the love of god try not to be racist
