sometimes i mourn of what could've been the show....
Priscilla Johnson, by Alice Neel 1966 Oil on canvas
"Our children have been spending a lot of time together lately."
"Always chaperoned, of course! Maxwell Jr. is here to learn the ropes of political life, not have any untoward interactions with Priscilla!"
"But still, they're both fifteen, they're together all the time, they seem to be developing feelings for each other... we have to do something about that."
"But what is there to do about it? They're young, and they like each other, but they can't even begin to think about marriage yet!"
"What about a betrothal, then? They can get to know each other, and get to know each others' families, and as soon as they're old enough, they can get married."
"That sounds like an idea... and I'm sure Maxwell's steadying influence will be good for Priscilla. She needs a purpose in life, and I'm sure she'd be well suited to be a politician's wife!"
"And while you're a wonderful mentor for Maxwell already, of course, you'd take a lot more interest in a son-in-law. Everyone in San Myshuno knows you, and being your son-in-law would carry a lot of weight in political circles."
"Let us pray about it, then, and see how things are developing. If they continue to be close, we will insist on a betrothal."
"And I'm so lonely and now mom won't talk to me and she's busy all day with stupid Garrett and stupid Tucker and I hate everything."
"Do you want to do some yoga with me?"
"But I hate everything!"
"That's okay. You can hate yoga, if you want to. You can even hate me."
"But I don't hate you, Priscilla. You're my favorite sister in the whole world!"
"And you're my favorite annoying little shit!"
From Abilene Johnson's Simstagram
My oldest step-daughter Madison Culver is such a blessing for our family! She took such good care of her younger sisters after their mother died so tragically, and even now that she's married, she is still so close to Savannah, Caroline, and Priscilla. I love having her over at our house, and I'm so happy that she lives nearby and drops in so often! It's really a blessing in disguise that she and her husband Connor have not been able to conceive yet, or I'm sure she would be busy with her own children instead of spending so much time with her single sisters! Savannah, Caroline, and Priscilla love her so much, and of course, I do too!
"Wow, Priscilla, you're a natural in front of the camera! You look so pretty and you sound so authentic and passionate, I really think you could grow a following on Simstagram!"
"Thank you! I just love filming all of these reels and taking all of these pictures, and of course, spending time with you! Things just aren't the same now that you're married and have your own house!"
"I know! But you - all of you - can come over any time, it's just a short walk!"
"So how are we going to launch my brand?"
"So, first things first, this is going to be a lot of hard work. Are you up for that? Because I remember you skipping chores when you were young, a lot!"
"Pft... I'm only lazy when I don't want to do the thing, and I really want to do this thing!"
"Great! I'm going to introduce you, then, that should give you a base of followers you can build your fame on. And from there, you can make fashion content and beauty content and throw in some Watcher-based content now and then, too. That should work. Oh, hey, Sav, can you take a picture of us doing Book Study?"
(A/N: She's fifteen and already thinking about branding! My girl Priscilla is going places! Of course, I won't like any of the places she's going, but... she's going places!)
From Abilene Johnson's Simstagram
It's another boy! I can't believe it! David and I are overjoyed to welcome his ninth (and my third) child into the world, our second son, Tucker Johnson! We are so grateful to the Watcher for giving us this sweet little blessing to raise and keep on the narrow path that is a Watcherly life, and hope that he will grow up to do great things in the name of our Watcher.
"Do you want the truth about why dad doesn't love us?"
"Yeah."
"It's because we're girls. Don't listen to your mom lie through her teeth. Dad wanted a boy even before Madison was born, and if he'd gotten one, none of us would even be here. He can barely be bothered to remember that we exist!"
"But I want him to love me. Why doesn't he love me, Priscilla?"
"I wanted that too, a long time ago. But that's not gonna happen, kid, and the sooner you accept that, the better."
"Dad doesn't love me, and you think I'm an annoying little shit, and mom's pregnant and doesn't have time for me... I feel so alone."
"You're my baby sister, you're supposed to be an annoying little shit. I was an annoying little shit to Maddie Sav and Caroline too! You just need to grow up a little and then we can do awesome big girl stuff together!"
"Promise?"
"Promise."
"I wish I could grow up faster!"
