Garrett Johnson

I MARRIED MY BEST FRIEND
I finally am a married woman, and I'm so excited to show y'all some impressions of my big day! Of course, no event as big as this - and with so many little ones running around - can be perfect, but it was such a wonderful occasion, and I wouldn't trade any of the little imperfections for the world! The Watcher keeps us humble, after all!
Me and Maxwell with his groomsmen Randall Sawyer and Connor Culver and his best man (and dad) Maxwell Sawyer, and my matron of honor Madison and my bridesmaids Caroline and Savannah
With my family, sister Savannah, stepmom Abilene, dad David, sister Caroline, sister Madison and her husband Connor, and in the front row, my little brother Tucker on my brother Garrett's back, and my sister Abigail carrying my nephew Connor Culver Jr.
With my new in-laws, Max's siblings Anne and Randall, his parents Maxwell Sr. and Theresa, and his little siblings Jasper, Henrietta, and Margaret. They were quite shocked about my dress leaving my shoulders bare... but modesty is a matter of the heart, and I really felt quite modest!
We were so honored by the whole congregation coming to see us married (and, of course, for the grand opening of the new church building). It was so lovely to sing our hymns in a new space and to celebrate the Watcher in this sacred building, and of course, our marriage! Caroline played the piano like she did for my sister Madison's wedding, the choir sang, and it really was such a magical occasion... especially our first kiss!
We held our reception in the church foyer, and I couldn't believe how beautifully everything was decked out, and how classy it looked! We even had a chocolate fountain, and the bar served coffee and sweet little mixed drinks with umbrellas (without alcohol, of course). We had such sweet fellowship with everyone, it was such a crowd, the toasts were wonderful, my dad followed up his sermon with such a wonderful speech wishing us all the happiness, and Max's father did the same, in a more subdued fashion because he's just that guy.
After a wonderful afternoon with all of our guests, everyone prayed over us to wish us save travels, and then it was time to be off so we'd catch our plane... we're HONEYMOONING on SULANI!
THE JOHNSON FAMILY TREE
THE SAWYER FAMILY TREE
From Abilene Johnson's Simstagram
To bring a little light and cheer into this dreary winter season, the Johnson family celebrated Winterfest with our whole family! It was so lovely to see everyone gather for our first Winterfest as a family, and I was almost overcome with emotion when David and I lit up the tree together! To think that last winter, I was still single, and now I have four stepdaughters and three children with this wonderful man!
Because we were over thirty people, we did a buffet-style meal again and I like to think that Savannah and I (we shared the cooking duties) outdid ourselves! Better than our Harvestfest spread, that's for sure! My mom and Candice also contributed, and I managed to send Madison home with so many leftovers - my oldest stepdaughter just had her first child recently (I'm way too young to be a grandma! Only thirty-three!) and as a family, we're trying to make things as easy for her as possible because she also needs to spread the Watcher's good tidings on Simstagram!
After our lavish meal, it was time to open presents, and we had so much fun together, looking at all the things everyone got and trying them out! Because he was so impatient, we allowed little Garrett to go first, and David got a whole stack of presents just for him. He had so much fun tearing through all of them, but the biggest surprise was yet to come: David got our spare bedroom set up as Garrett's room, so he doesn't have to share the toddler room with Tucker! Our littlest one was so happy, and I'm so relieved that we won't have any more bedtime tantrums because Garrett says that Tucker is annoying him and he can't sleep because of that!
Everyone else got presents too, dolls for Abigail, a new phone with a better camera for Priscilla (she's been asking for it so she can take better pictures and videos for her Simstagram ministry), we read the Holy Book, and then it was already time for the little ones to go to bed. I love having my whole family live close by (except for Daisy and her now three little ones in Strangerville) and it's so wonderful to have sweet fellowship together. And praise the Watcher, but if He's willing, we will have an even bigger family soon!
"David, really? All the presents? And a whole room?"
"I didn't think it would be too much."
"It's too much. Way too much."
"But he's my little boy..."
"I know, you waited for him for twenty-five years, but David, you have two little boys now! Not to mention the four girls you still have at home!"
"But I can't say no if he asks me..."
"He asks because he knows you don't say no! You have to get yourself under control, and be the father your children need. Even if that sometimes means saying no to Garrett."
"But I already got him a gift for Caroline's birthday..."
"No. Absolutely not."
From David Johnson's Simstagram
It was a most important birthday in the Johnson family: Little Garrett David Johnson is a toddler now, a young gentleman who is already receiving his first lessons in being a Worshipper of the Watcher from me. A father cannot start teaching his son too early, after all! It is such a joy to see him exploring the world, and he is already making his will known! I'm sure he will be a good leader when he grows up, not only for his own household, but also for our fellow Sims who have fallen into sin and need saving!
We celebrated his birthday (which happened to also fall on my daughter Abigail's birthday) with all the other gentlemen from church, and it was such a joy to see my young man talking to them and already forging connections!

It's another boy! I can't believe it! David and I are overjoyed to welcome his ninth (and my third) child into the world, our second son, Tucker Johnson! We are so grateful to the Watcher for giving us this sweet little blessing to raise and keep on the narrow path that is a Watcherly life, and hope that he will grow up to do great things in the name of our Watcher.
"Mom, why does daddy love Garrett more than me?"
"Oh Abby, he loves you just as much as Garrett!"
"Then why doesn't he play with me? Why doesn't he tuck me in? Why doesn't he talk to me?"
"That is just the way things are with fathers and sons, they're closer than fathers and daughters and do boy things together."
"If I want to do boy things, will daddy do them with me?"
"No, because boy things are for boys, and girl things are for girls. You can't do boy things, because you're a girl!"
"But I want to do boy things with daddy! Then he'll love me!"
"Oh Abby... that's not how it works."
"And I want the new baby to be a girl! Then she can do all the girl things with you and me!"
From Abilene Johnsons's Simstagram
The Watcher has blessed me so, I cannot believe it. All of my prayers have been answered: I am a wife now, a mother, I have a husband who loves me like the Watcher commands, a house where I can raise my children, my stepdaughters are finally coming around to having me in their lives, and with little Garrett's arrival, my husband has the son he's prayed for for more than twenty years now. Things could not be more perfect, and I am so grateful to the Watcher, and must, of course, strive to remain humble to be worthy of such blessings.
