Chapter twenty eight, part two

Finaly was the moment that her grandmother and Evan walked through the door. Deborah walked with a calm tred to her son and welkomed him with the words 'hello Evan, nice to see you after al these years'. Inside her was she everything except calm. But Evan smiled back to her and said 'hi'. Deborah told Evan and her own children there was thee with cookies in the kitchen and soon after everybody went as fast as they could to the kitchen.

It wasn't for long until they all sat at the table to drink their tea and eat their cookie. Deborah started to relax when she saw her oldest son between her other children like they had been brothers living together all this time. Her grandmother started asking questions about Evans schoolday and he politely answered them. Andrew was the first to ask about school as he only knew the school she had taught him. Evan was first surprised but when she told him her children didn't go to school he started to tell them about it very enthoustic. Suddenly she saw Thom in him. Deborah saw Andrews face getting more and more happy. She knew that her son now had one desire and that was to also go to school.

Chapter twenty six, part five

After diner, Deborah and both her grandparents made sure there was enough room to sleep for all the children upstairs. She was surprised by all the things they had to provide for her children. They had an old crib and toddler bed from the time Evan was little. To their own surprise they found another set of crib and toddlerbed with their campingstuff that they used back when Phillip was still little. They never got rid of it. They had a bunkbed for when Evan had a sleepover at their place and a big double bed for when they went camping. Everybody had a place to sleep that night. They helped her getting her children in bed. They read stories to her toddlers and tucked in the bigger children. Everybody liked being with her grandparents as much as Deborah liked it.

There weren't enough words to describe how thankful she was, yet again, for what her grandparents did for her. She stood next to the door listening to her children in their beds. They talked for a little while before falling asleep. Then Deborah went downstairs were her grandparents were already sitting in the couch.

Chapter twenty three, part two

At her parents house they would make big piles for every person who had their birthday that month. Now that so many of Deborahs brothers and sisters were married there were many more presents to hand out. Most of the time different groups bought a present so they could buy something a little bit bigger instead of serveral smaller presents. Deborah had bought presents together with Hadassa and Bernice. It was also nice to discuss a little together what to buy. It made it all easier.

When everybody got there they started to sing for the birthdayboys and girls. After that they ate cake. Everytime there were different people who made the cake. They all took turns. Deborah was excused because of her pregnancy. Just a month and a little bit before the baby would be here. She probably would deliver before the due date as she always did. After the cake it was time for the presents. They made it a rule to start with the youngest but Deborah said that this time they could finish with the youngest because Israel would be turning one and didn't really understand what was happening so it wouldn't matter. Her other birthdaychildren, Judah and Priscilla had a better understanding of what a birthday entiled. Priscilla turned two years old and was very excited about getting presents. Her real birthday was already a couple days ago. Judah and Israel still had to turn five and one.

Chapter twenty three, part one

It's was the sunday in april that they all went to their parents house to celebrate all the birthdays. The family got so big that celebrating every individual birthday was too much. So they decided not too long ago that they would start with a new tradition. Every month there was one sunday that they all spent at their parents house to celebrate everybody who had a birthday that month. It was pretty simple. Today was such a sunday. All the presents had to be loaded in the car before church because they would go right afterwards.

Deborah had asked Aidan to carry all the presents to the car and he wanted the older boys to help. They gladly did. Deborah watched the younger ones and put them in their carseats. Most of the april birthdays were birthdays from their little family. Judah, Priscilla and Israel all had their birthday in april. Hadassa also had her birthday that month, so did Shiloh and Deborahs father. The celebrations probably wouldn't be so glorious as they wanted to because Deborahs grandfather was admitted to the hospital yesterday. As a family they decided to go ahead with the birthday sunday because off all the little children anticipating presents. Her father and Hadassa would be fine with moving the party to a different moment but for Shiloh en Deborahs children that wouldn't be explainable. So off they went with all the presents in the back of their big car. All the children had to fit in.

Chapter twenty two, part five

Coming back home from a long day, Deborah was happy that Aidan took Priscilla to the nursery. While she had thought to make both a boy and a girlroom she didn't feel like that was fair at the moment. Priscilla would have a room for herself while the boys would be cramed with six of them in one room. So she devided the rooms between the four older boys and the three younger ones. Camilla would join them once she was old enough to sleep without her near her.

Aidan wasn't a huge help after all. He just put Priscilla with her good clothes in her crib and walked away. Deborah had to change her and put her down for the night after she put Israel in his crib. They both were easygoing baby's. Nothing compared to some of the older boys. So she didn't have much trouble getting them in their cribs.

Joel was a bit more work. He was tired and therefor much more stubborn as he already was. But in the end she could leave the room having her three youngest in their beds.

Chapter twenty two, part three

While Deborah was pretty buzy already with seven children she was expecting her ninth baby. People didn't know it was her ninth. They only knew the seven who lived with her, not the one who lived far away. After Evan and Andrew she got Malachi Charles. They named him after her father. Deborah didn't really feel like naming her son after her father but Aidan insisted that they would. He was born just a little over a year after Andrew. He would turn six tomorrow.

After Malachi came Judah Phillip. Aidan really liked the name Judah and Deborah had put all the effort in giving him Phillip as middle name after her grandfather. Aidan didn't knew about the meaning behind Phillip and she really liked to keep it that way. He would try to change it even though Judah was already close to five years old. After Judah came Caleb. He was named after her greatgrandfather, again, without Aidan knowing about it. Caleb was three years old. Joel was named by Aidan. She didn't have more men in her life she wanted to name her children after. He was born within a year after Caleb. Again within a year was her first daughter, Priscilla born. She still remembered her mothers face when she mentioned her name to her. Aidan didn't know about her grandmothers name but her mother did. But her mother kept her mouth shut and never said anything about it. Naming her daughter after her grandmother meant a lot to Deborah. She had good memories from her grandmother and wished she still had contact with her. A little over a year after Priscilla, Israel was born. His name was just like Joels completly Aidans work. The baby in her belly would arrive after Joels first birthday. And it was another girl. Deborah was thrilled about having another daughter. This girl would be named Camilla, after Deborahs greatgrandmother.
