I've having so much fun with my new little guy. I was trying to think up what kind of acts he could do and shadow puppetry felt like it fit! He's a bit limited in what exactly he can make, but he's got the butterfly down.
I'm working on making an actual cast of OC's! They're all part of a robot circus crew full of unusual or one off models that have persevered through the test of time despite their flaws and quirks. The two here are:
Primaestro (He/They)(The D8 head one, I forgot to put his name on the sheet x-x) - The Ringmaster of this unusual crew of robots!
He's outgoing and personable, relying on very bold body language and miming for communication. He was a newer model of performer robot but was made without any kind of voicebox or speaker, but he can communicate via images on the screen of his chest.
Each segment of his body is fully disconnected from the other, and can float within a certain distance of the body, with the arms being able to go out the farthest. Everything stays within the range of the body via electro-magnetism. Nobody is sure how or if he needs to charge, but he hasn't run out of power in a few years so it hasn't been a concern yet.
Has one blue eye on one of the 8 faces of his head. Each arm is a distinct color and contains a different entourage of shapes. Can sometimes be found wearing fun circus costumes, his favorite accessory combo is a top hat and bow.
Viisi (She/Her) - The costumes manager! (Her design is based roughly on the the statue Trendy Lady (2004) by artist Ha Bik-Chen)
A robot created by an amateur fashion designer to help him make outfits, however after being told that everything he owned was considered "unfashionable" she ended up at the circus (she wanted out, this guy's closet sucked bad) and now directs the costume work there. Seeing as though the cast at the circus rarely wears full outfits it lets her work on the more fine details of the few available pieces fit to be worn.
She has a bit of a bite to her when others question her design choices and tends to literally steam up - being water powered this can cause a shutdown if she boils over but it is easily remedies with a few liters of water in her back and head. Otherwise she has a fashion aunt vibe and cares deeply about the specific shade of black top hat Prismaestro is about to wear onstage.
She also can't wear full outfits usually, but she enjoys wearing high waisted pants/skirts as a fashion statement - they can't cover her heat gauge for safety reasons. A good bedazzled item is always fashionable so most items she wears backstage are incredibly sparkly. She has hundreds of unique earrings made out of random scrap metal and parts from the rest of the cast, she changes them often.
She has 21 tiny eyes fine tuned for everything fashion. Steam exists through them when she's boiling. She is able to speak through she tends to sound a bit underwater - the mic area needs to be drained on occasion. Her head and the bottom half of her legs are attached via a spring, allowing her to reach about 12ft if she were to fully stretch everything out. Normally she sits at about 6ft. The heels have auto balancers in them - she cant change shoes.
