I redrew my Umbreon proxy card for the upcoming print to make it look even better! ❗❗❗

I became fond of collecting Pokemon Cards this year, but after all the drama which upfolded within a community after Prismatic Evolutions release, I felt like I had to make my own set of cards which will make fun of the situation.

This will be my first preorder for merch which got made by me! More information will be released later! 🥰

I hope it happens to more and more scalpers. Many Pokemon fans are kids, these scammers are taking their opportunity to buy and collect the cards (at a reasonable price.)

I painted one of my binders for my card collection and this is the result! I love the Prismatic Evolution series so much. I just wish it wasn't so expensive..

Progress photos underneath the cut!

First, I took the card image into Clip Studio and outlined all the pieces I would end up painting. Then I printed it out to the size of my binder! This took 4 pages.

It's important, if you're doing this method yourself, that you dont overlap the pages too much. Try to get them as close to edge to edge as possible. You'll see why.

I used white graphite transfer paper to transfer the design from paper to binder. It's super handy and can transfer to most surfaces! I was very impressed with how well the VaultX binder took the graphite.

Except...

Whoops! See those really faded sections? Yeah thats the overlap. But its okay! We're gonna outline everything with a white paint pen before we color.

Ta-da! Not EXACTLY like the image, some parts were just too faded to trace, but I referenced the card and did a pretty good job recreating it, I think. I used a Graffiti brand acrylic paint markers with a fine point for this part. I had to be careful, because the marker would skip and splatter paint if I tried to draw in certain directions.

Now, on to color! I used JusArt acrylic paint markers for this part. They come in 72 colors and have a brush tip. Which is much better for the textured surface of the binder. The brush doesnt tend to skip and splatter when laying down color.

Color, color...

As I'm finishing sections, I'm outlining them with the Graffiti markers. I still have to be careful of splatter.

Almost done! At this point I stopped working top to bottom and started working by color. It made the process much faster and easier to keep track of.

After I finished all the color, I then went back and lined everything with a black paint marker. I'm going to seal it with a modpodge matte sealant to protect it. The end!

2025 ART CHALLENGE where I draw the rarest Pokemon cards I pull as HUMANS! [PART 3]

Today, I pulled Hearthflame Ogerpon EX from the Japanese Pokemon set Terastal Festival!

Unfortunately I did not get an eeveelution (sad) 😢 but it was a nice card nonetheless!
