Pristin V: Sun and Moon

💕Hello! I wanted to do this before promotion period is over but I might be too late! Anyways, in celebration of such a successful debut here is a lil about Pristin V sun and moon signs!💕

💕disclaimer: i’m no expert on astrology but these are my interpretations of the signs and how they’re working based on my experiences with them. Everyone has different opinions and studies in astrology, all interpretation and experiences within the realm is valid. However feel free to make your own post or skip if you strongly disagree. There might be inaccuracy and difference in opinions. But the point of this post is to relate, entertain and have a fun time. I’m hoping to validate people with similar experiences and get people excited about the girls+ astrology. Also, since we don’t know most of their birth times, I’m using the standard 12.00pm💕

Im Nayoung

December 18 1995 (Seoul, South Korea) Sagittarius Sun/Scorpio Moon

Sagittarius suns are so friendly and typically easy going. Unlike their archetype they typically don’t appear to be very extroverted. Rather, they embody a philosopher, they like contemplations and introversion, a little time away to catch their breath and center themselves always helps.

But their energy and zest for life makes them constantly bounce back brighter than ever and typically enjoys hanging out with those that they grew close to.

Sagittarius natives tends to have a group of friends that they can be themselves with. These people are considered strictly ‘friend’ and they tend to keep their business and private life very separated.

They are adept at social gatherings however. Often coming across as very credible or expansive individuals and impressing strangers upon first impressions every time. This is the influence of Jupiter as their ruler, as it brings good luck and integrity in the character- shines a light on the better qualities of a person.

Jupiter also symbolizes higher studies and travels, Sagittarius natives tends to bring in their own experience from their introspective sessions into the conversations and make it seem so vivid and impressive.

They never come as too grandiose or overly dramatic, but their experiences and how much they invest into developing their own life can draw people into them because of how honest and sincerely they are when they’re talking about it.

Often times they also draw inspirations from their travels or people they’ve met, as they tend to make connections easily and sees the potential in others before many realizes this themselves.

Sagittarius are pretty easy going signs, but they often feel best when traveling alone to different places. This is much different than any fire-air signs that they know, because as the signs grow older there tends to be a need for more introspection within themselves. Sagittarius still needs activity much like the other fire signs, but in Sagittarius it can take form of a sage trying to figure themselves out in nature.

Nayoung has her Sagittarius sun in the 3rd decan, which is influenced by Sun/Leo. This amplifies her Sun’s behaviour even more, especially the introspective trait of the Sagittarius.

Both Sagittarius and Leo tends to have a bit more of an enriched inner-world than the baby Aries. Although Leo tends to retrieve more so into themselves, and shows their introspection directly when it’s in Moon placement. The Sagittarius sun really brings out this trait in her, making her seem like a much deeper thinker and help her grow connected to her subconscious than typical 1st decan Sagittarius.

In a way it can be good for her too, since Leo makes her self-expression and self-confidence stronger. She’s stabilized with the influence of the Actual Sun working with her Sagittarius Sun. She may exhibit a stronger charisma, more confident and humble demeanor when she’s performing, and some creativity that pushes the contemplative nature of Sagittarius into externalizing itself.

Leos are known to be pretty decent and humble people, often their sense of self expressions can come across as overly dramatic especially with Sagittarius in there as well. Nayoung probably has her moments where she seems to completely lose her shit over the smallest thing, but it can be very endearing and flighty so it’s not a big deal.

Sagittarius really helps her here, because even when they ARE overdramatic they’re so convinced that it was worth it that it becomes confidence. She can be dramatic sometimes of course, but unlike often her Sagittarius will bring out the regal and honorable look to her and make her seem better in situations instead of ridiculous (Jupiter’s luckiness/expansion making her ‘appear’ better)

With her Scorpio Moon in first decan, it really brings to point how rich her inner world is. Often she has to battle through emotional transformation and intensity that can overwhelm her, possibly her Sun is externalizing these in her performances to lessen the load it can have on her psyche.

With Scorpio combined with her Sagittarius Sun/Leo Decan, Nayoung has an intensity about her that transforms her on stage and off stage. Leo talks about performance and Scorpio-natives have the innate ability to ‘transform’ under circumstances (Gemini placements have this as well)

However, due to how intense Scorpios can be and how sensitive Leo placements are, if her feelings (Moon) is hurt she can be prone to lashing out in an over-dramatic fashion. But it’s not without sense, she feels things so intimately and strongly that sometimes the way she copes or handle these things aren’t enough for her to express it fully.

People with intense placements like Scorpio Moon tends to internalize and bottle up alot of their emotions, but with an external sun like Sagittarius ruled by Leo- it’s abit healthier than say a water-sign mars. Even though she might need some time to learn how to not lash out or fully express herself better.

Since her sun is her ego and how she expresses herself, it’s an immediate response. If her feelings/ideals are hurt or unheard she tends to react first and then fully realize her thoughts later. It’s like a well of emotions ready to burst, but when it does burst not everything is flowing out fully you know?

Anyways, having a Scorpio moon does help her Sun because it pushes her to develop her fire-sign traits better. Even though Scorpio natives tends to get the short end of the stick in terms of healthy-placements, it IS and WILL work well for some people in context and circumstances.

Kim Minkyung (Roa)

July 29 1997 (Chuncheon, South Korea) Leo Sun/Gemini Moon

Now here we have a Leo Sun who’s ruled by the Sun as well! (1st decan ruled by Leo/Sun)

In terms of placement this is the healthiest placement in the whole team since her sense of self-expression and ego is strongly rooted and stabilized.

People don’t tend to realize that Leos and Scorpios needs alot of stability in their life, they can’t really handle instability and everyone starts off kind of under-developed (even if Scorpio rules transformation)

Having this placement Minkyung really doesn’t have to show off for anyone to know there’s no way to change her mind/herself unless she wants to.

Leo’s sun in a healthy decan tends to be more quiet or subdued than let’s say Nayoung’s Sagittarius sun. Because Sagittarius needs to express itself outward to be heard, but Leo has that immovable stability and self-confidence that emanates from within themselves.

Minkyung really does have that kind of confidence in her expression, in daily life and during performance. It makes her performance believable, because she’s just always full of charisma in her daily life anyways.

With Leo being a sign of performance, it’s really no wonder she feels most comfortable on stage. Once she’s been in the industry long enough, you can expect her to have good public appearance and ratings on variety tv shows since her personality/persona is already set to be comfortable in the realms (whether or not she chooses to be more outgoing in the field or shy away from it entirely since Leo can be shy, that’s up to her)

She could also be a very good actress , since Leo natives tends to place themselves more seriously in their careers than others. She might like the sort of process that comes when dealing with plays and acting because it gives her more structure and she knows what she’s going into.

Leo’s aren’t known to like spontaneous circumstances in particular, in fact they can be rather traditional and prefer to stick to some sort of guidelines that they know will happen. They’re often great with the circumstances, but it doesn’t mean they’ll like being put on the spot like that.

This is true even for her Gemini Moon also working in the 1st decan, with this placement she’s ruled by Mercury and loves to work with larger groups of people and context she can somewhat work within flexibly.

Gemini moon natives also tend to have this tendency to ‘transform’ themselves on and off stage, although they don’t go out of their way to ‘hide’ themselves- idols with Gemini Moon tends to have a similar intensity as Scorpio placements.

Why is this? It’s because Gemini is like their sign, the twins. There’s a need to have a ‘complete persona’ at hand in order to facilitate different placements in their charts. Having any placements in Gemini is like having a whole entire natal dedicated to that particular aspect. There’s a subconscious need for ‘completeness’ and ‘balance’ since the twins here can symbolize yin-yang and fufillment within oneself as well.

It’s probably a good advice for anyone with a Gemini placement to look into their persona chart, particularly the one that they’re placed in. (I.e. Gemini Venus > Venus persona chart) Since it can become more of a complex sign, for the sake of not going on for too long, the I’m just going to shorten it to just natal for her.

Gemini moons often finds that their emotions are also entirely separate persona from the rest of them, sure they might need a lot of mental stimulation from others and tends to be externally-heavy (i.e. hangs out with people a lot, friend-oriented , finds comfort in interacting with others) but that doesn’t mean that they aren’t tired or feel some kind of ways about it.

This is because the rest of their chart has other aspect and placement going on that their moon typically just overlooks or ignore completely. It would be great for them to look deeper at this issue and try to resolve it by understanding and accepting themselves, as well as trying to meditate between their different signs/placement.

In a way, Gemini moon natives would need to act like a third person who has to mediate between themselves sometimes. But doing so they have to learn to do it healthily and not actively hate or be exasperated by their placements/signs.

Accepting and loving themselves can be hard for them, since they typically need to rest often and intense introspective work can be very taxing to do.

With Minkyung’s Leo sun and Gemini moon combination you can see how she’s meant to shine in the spotlight (Leo sun) but also feels comfortable in low-key socializing situation. I can imagine her being powerful on stage, but off stage she handles social interactions with other idols and members very well too.

Other people connects to her, both through her sense of self-expression (Leo sun) and her ability to connect and relate to others (Gemini moon) - she’s not much of a feelings or intense kind of person, but she gives enough to others to keep them coming to her.

Jung Eunwoo

July 1 1998 (Bucheon, South Korea) Cancer Sun/Libra Moon

A queen whom I love 💕

Eunwoo is a Cancer sun in the first decan, this means her sun (ego) is also ruled by the Moon (emotions)

Everything you see on her face is what she feels on the inside, people with their self-expression/ego (sun) that’s influenced by their emotional responses/inner self (moon) typically reveals themselves and their true feelings much easier than any other placements.

With Cancer in her, especially in her sun she can tend to shift and change her expressions/feelings a lot faster than the rest of the members.

Instead of thinking of her as ‘switching’ between her public persona and her personal one, it’s more of just a slight ‘shift’ in her overall temperament in order to come across a certain way instead.

She’s not transforming anything like that, she’s just embodying the feelings.

If she needs to get into a stage persona, she can focus and narrow down on a ‘feeling’ and use it to express herself instead. It’s like a liar fooling themselves and tricking the lie detector as well. That’s how her Cancer sun seems to be for her.

Now people with Cancer placement tends to be kind and abit awkward, they’re like a crab you know? Sometimes they can hide things if they feel like the other person isn’t receptive to their thoughts, but they’re true to their feelings for most of the time. They’re not confrontational, but they’re quite stubborn. They tend to resort to passive-aggressive stance sometimes (especially with Cancer Mars) but they’re generally very sensitive and tends to come out sobbing in normal circumstances (they’re cuties)

People with Cancer natives in their Sun tends to be very endearing people since they focus so much on emotional intelligence. They’re adept at handling their emotions well and knowing when to use and back off from others.

They tend to processing their thoughts and feelings at a rapid pace. In Cancer, there’s no angsty emotional turmoil like Scorpio nor altruistic self-sacrificial suffering like Pisces. Emotions tends to be processed faster and in a way, more simplistic than the others.

It doesn’t mean it’s not intense or very emotional, they are. But it’s feelings in it’s raw form, not something processed through the lens of self-suffering nor a bigger purpose. It helps them understand on the basic principle, what feelings are and how to use them better than any other signs out there.

This helps them to understand others around them, particularly people close to them and provide/teach them a lot better. Since they’re not so caught up in themselves all the time, Cancers can have the ability to push their feelings away if only for a moment in order to deal with the situation at hand better. If someone needs comforting, a Cancer sun native will provide for them in the best possible way.

They’re literally the embodiment of what one should do in order to process emotions healthily (ideally- in a very developed Cancer placement), and although they can still have a hard time dealing/working through it themselves- the resources and help they provide innately for others (often when they’re not thinking about it/when its not intentionally malicious/spiteful) can be overwhelmingly helpful.

Especially in the equally awkward Capricorn and Virgo signs, who has a much harder time even understanding or realizing that they have feelings at all. Cancer’s influence provides alot of insight and help in building a healthier lifestyle for other signs out there.

Cancer rules the 4th house, which is the house of family, childhood and nurturing. They can sometimes have mummy-issues, but typically it’s more like a mummy-complex. They tend to be more in-tune and attached to their inner selves. And often have very stabilizing and internal grounds inside of themselves that they spring board from, which is an admittedly pretty healthy thing to do?

Now Eunwoo’s moon itself is in Libra, which is ruled by Venus and it’s in the 1st decan. People with Libra placement tends to exhibit a more busy-body kind of attitude. Although her Cancer sun might be shy, she loves to help others out and would do things for her friends/close families all the time.

People with Cancer/Libra placement has an emphasis on their nurturing and softer qualities, unlike her performance persona- Eunwoo in her daily life is quite endearing. She might be a soft and sweet women who cares for others deeply and tries to do everything for them.

It’s compassion, but it’s not the same compassion that comes from deep-rooted/intense signs like Capricorn, Leos or Pisces. Libra/Cancer compassion tends to come from the basic principle of loving people, loving society and trying to keep peace at all time.

There’s a need for balance here, and unlike Pisces she won’t be willing to give more once she realize it’s a lost cause. In Libra which is an air-sign, the responses of others around her really contributes to her actions, she’s not going to be willing to give more/sacrifice more if others don’t tend to need it/want it. But at the same time, it’s a fast-moving sign and she will adapt pretty quickly to social situation and needs.

She’s adept at social cues, since Libra Moons are pros at trying to understand others. In a way it can be frustrating to herself since her own emotions aren’t allowed to fully be expressed without her being anxious/paranoid about over-balancing her external circle of friends/associates.

Although it can charm her into anyone’s heart, her own Cancer placement’s darker emotions can be suppressed/repressed in order to express just the lighter ones. With Libra working on her Moon and Cancer on her sun, it can become a situation much like a Taurus moon native who takes pleasure and comfort too far that they neglect their darker, more ‘dangerous’ feelings/thoughts.

Eunwoo is a cutie pie honestly, but she probably has to learn how to fully feel comfortable expressing herself (her sun) without thinking she’s going to overbalance others with her feelings/thoughts. The interference of her moon working on her might feel uncomfortable every single time she has to confront others (she’s non-confrontational) but it can lead to her suppressing her emotions and exhibiting bad habits/traits of her sun instead.

If she learns how to let it out consistently and get more practice in doing so, as well as external validation and encouragement from friends (something like ‘hey I really appreciate you opening up about your anger/sadness to me instead of keeping it all to yourself it really helps me understand and communicate with you better’) - it’ll really help her bring out the best of herself and fully flourish every other placements in her chart as well.

Kang Yebin (Rena)

October 19 1998 (Ilsan, South Korea) Libra Sun/Libra Moon

Queen Yebin coming in with that double Libra placement!

Yebin has her sun in Libra ruled by the 3rd Decan (Mercury/Gemini) and her moon ruled in the 2nd Decan (Uranus/Aquarius) making her exhibit a much stronger and sharper charm in her thoughts and words than Eunwoo does.

See here’s the difference between Libras in different decans, with Eunwoo she’s ruled by Venus which makes her Libra exhibit it’s softer, compliant and sweet-natured side rather than focusing on bringing her opinions and thoughts to the forefront sometimes.

But with Yebin who’s Libra moon is ruled in the 2nd Decan, her thoughts/intellect is a part of herself she knows and values and often uses it to bring arguments into her favor. There’s less need to compromise herself in order to charm or affluent anyone to see her way, instead she fully realize she can do this just by a sound and solid argument, as well as a well-placed banter.

Libra in Venus is like seeing someone and being charmed into looking at them, Libra in Aquarius is like a phase that gets stuck in your head for days and change your entire perspective on things.

As an air-sign combo Yebin has such a huge emphasis on her ability to speak/express herself to the outside world on a mentally stimulating level. She might not have used charm or charisma like the other members, but her individuality and sharper edges makes her stand out and keeps her in mind of the audience- typically seen in her performances.

Since both of her sun and moon is still in Libra, there’s obviously the influence of Venus making her more charming and appealing than the typically Aquarius native or Gemini native. Perhaps more so in her physical appearance and her light-hearted emotional response, she tends to get along well with others and people like her naturally because of how friendly she comes across.

Yebin is so much more than just a pretty face however, she’s such a social butterfly when she’s comfortable. Mental stimulation and engagement from others is key and vital to her being, she’s ruled by all three air signs and that brings such an emphasis on her needing social interactions in order to feel better/progress herself.

With all the exposure Pristin V is getting, it’s not wonder she shines so vibrantly. Every comeback Pristin has, Yebin probably feels rejuvenated being able to interact with an audience and so many different idols. she’s a social butterfly but also a hard worker, often finding ways to improvement and works best when there’s stimulation of others around her in this situation/context.

Now let’s touch on her signs separately. With a Libra sun in 3rd decan (Mercury/Gemini ruled) She’s much more logical and sharper than how she appears to be.

There’s an emphasis on time-sensitivity, since Gemini’s influence can tire the Libra out easily, so it’s probably healthy to set an allocated timeframe for certain things when she knows she has the energy to do so (instead of doing it 24/7 with the intensity of say a Capricorn/Taurus)

This means that sometimes, despite being a Libra sun she might need time away to just rest on her legs for abit. She won’t sit down, but she’ll need more time to gather herself and her energy in order to do anything more. Gemini-influence are like, a sprint runner. Not typically made for long distance but they can do it if they have to.

This also means there’s another emphasis on indecisiveness. Again, it’s time-sensitivity. It’s not like she’s innately indecisive, it’s that after a certain period of time, she’ll lose track of her energy/drive to say/do certain things.

Although Libras and Gemini tends to exhibit both of these traits, it has more to do with her potential. She’s fully capable of making sound and logical evaluation on people - but often she doesn’t voice it out in time.

Because of time constraint or negligence, got distracted and tires herself out making her lose her train of thoughts. It’ll frustrates her since it can interfere with self-expression and ego, but as long as she works on developing this and reacting fast enough (with abit of fire influence) she’ll get through it easier with practice.

Libra moon ruled by Aquarius places an emphasis on feeling comfortable in social setting by showcasing their individuality. Although they don’t have to feel pressured into trying to accommodate everyone or stretching themselves thin to become a wallflower, there’s a harmonious quality to belonging in an environment where they’re accepted as they are.

Libra Aquarians flourish bests when they feel that even the littlest, ugliest part of themselves are loved and accepted by those around them (since they have such a hard time naturally just accepting that within themselves) they’re much more vocal and dynamic than the typical Libran natives.

If the Aquarius is healthy and working in a developed sign, it can fully flourish and bring about more ‘emotions’ in a Libra moon.

This expands their connection with others, which is crucial to air-signs in general. But ruling the emotions, it has that solid foundation and inner depth that other signs might look for/need. If she could use this properly she’ll be able to appear older/wiser and even appeal to other older signs like Sagittarius and Pisces as well.

This is good because it really helps her Libra and Gemini sun build up some grounds to work on, some solid foundation on signs that are typically very loyal and steadfast, and having that backing her up would really help her expand on her Sun/Moon more.

Zhou Jieqiong (Kyulkyung)

December 16 1998 (Shanghai, China) Sagittarius Sun/Scorpio Moon

OK now it’s time for our baby Kyulkyung!

She has the same Sagittarius Sun/Scorpio Moon as Nayoung, but unlike Nayoung her Moon is ruled by Cancer in the 3rd Decan.

Kyulkyung has very powerful placements working for her, her Sagittarius Sun is ruled by the Leo/Sun, and her Scorpio moon is ruled by Cancer/Moon.

This makes her a much more complicated person, but at the same time pretty straight forward as well.

Sagittarius Sun/Leo Decan are very head-strong in themselves, their sense of self and self-confidence comes from inwards and expand outwards. Kyulkyung can be quiet, and still has an aura of poise and firmness about her.

Much similar to Nayoung’s regal sort of determination, Kyulkyung exhibits the same demeanor. Although with her Scorpio Moon in Cancer, it can go either way on how much it’s helping her or not.

Now, unlike Nayoung who’s Scorpio Moon uses her sun to externalize all that intensity, Kyulkyung’s intensity is filtered in a much softer and healthier dosage due to Cancer’s influence on her chart.

The Cancer here rules the Moon, and influencing her Scorpio Moon directly helps streamline and bring about the healthier nature of Scorpio which is structure and strategy. Her emotions are enriched and just as intense as Nayeon, but instead of trying to use her Sun to push her Moon- she is fully capable of expressing her moon just by itself and coming across much better than Nayoung does when it’s not using the fire-influence.

In a way, this gives her a duality and makes her slower to move. Her fire persona is separated from her emotions. Her sense of self and self-confidence is unrelated to what she might be feeling, and she’s much less prone to lash out than Nayoung is.

Instead, Kyulkyung can turn cold and calculative in order to get what she wants. She becomes an observer, and often displays more tact in relying on her abilities to get people to do things she wants to get done instead.

Scorpio moons are great manipulators, but this isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Unless they are ruled entirely by their emotions (lets face it, most people aren’t) during stressful times, they’re much more prone to gently push people into the right directions and help situations by staying off the spot light that way.

Kyulkyung’s emotions are much more forward and in controlled, despite how overwhelmed or emotional she might actually feel. The way she directs these emotions are focused and sharper, and it can almost be a sense of practicality/pragmatism in the way she does thing.

In Scorpio there’s an innate need for structure. Since everything is always moving in several different directions that one can’t control, Scorpios only comes across as ‘obsess’ because they try to regain a sense of balance/control from their external environment around them.

With the help of Cancer in her Moon she’s much shier and awkward than people seem to realize. Often times it contributes to her feeling a bit like she’s slower to move or react emotionally- because in order to gain a resemblance of control- Scorpio moons can often resort to suppressing their feelings.

Working on adding some air-sign qualities to her chart might benefit her overall to the public eye. Despite her strong Sagittarius making people love her, the combination of Leo-Scorpio-Cancer can make one come across as self-centered. There’s a lot of emphasis on self-improvement beyond just nurturing/caring for others that Cancer might provide. Learning to let things go, relate more to others and letting them relate to her brings a softer, harmonious charm of Libra that her other member have in bouts would benefit her a lot.

As the youngest, incorporating strengths and growing into developing her ‘version’ of other signs/placement would help her in her career.

This is the first post I’ve finished since coming back to Thailand so if it’s not as cohesive or intense as the others, I apologize! I hope they can get more love and appreciation as Pristin as well! Since they’re newbies/rookies there’s not much to go off on. I usually try to? explain their personalities with evidence from broadcast/music videos, but that’s usually how it goes eyeing/reading a person-you-dont-know chart! 💕
