I'm a current college student and unless I lie about my status as a current student, it's almost impossible for me to find part-time work in my area (as employers assume, correctly, that my schedule will be less flexible than a non-student) & I don't actually have a degree yet, AND any job that I am actually qualified for that pertains to my area of study almost ALWAYS wants me to work for "experience" (read: for free). fuck the job market :/
There really do need to be laws disallowing companies capacity to exploit unpaid workers by calling it 'internship' or 'experiential'.

I don't know why it even happens, or what purpose. I guess because the body has to replenish that stuff, but what the fuck, evolution.
what is your favorite kind of plant and why?
Hard, so hard.
water lilies are up there (because they grow in the water, and also, are pretty. I fantasize about being a water lily sometimes and having those long petioles going up through the water, and having lily pads. It is amazing how much I can imagine being built that way.)
Um, corn - because last year I grew some and it turned out awesome, and is basically a tall grass. (This year's plants did not do so hot because I planted them a month too late for my area, they got stunted and small, and their ears small.) So, being around them every day last year made me love them.
WHEAT because it's beautiful.
Cyclamen is a pretty great flower.
Palm trees.
To name a few. I have trouble picking an absolute favorite because I love them all.
Right now i have some summer squash and some pumpkins, huge that i need to photograph for y'all and post...
