I don’t mean to be contrary, but I just don’t think you can proclaim that a certain section of roadside is off-limits to parking…no matter how many careless parkers may have impinged on your carefully manicured hedge, or reduced a swatch of land that you regard as yours to grassless mud. Granted, it’s not a wide shoulder and a parked car along here will make traffic tight on this residential side road, but I’m pretty sure a no-parking zone is a municipal determination – and this tiny, cheaply-printed sign? Ain’t nothin’ municipal about that.

It’s worth noting that there’s another sign just like this one another 25 feet or so down the road. So whoever’s behind this is really overreaching, as far as I’m concerned. And they’re probably pissed off too, which is why I’m doing exactly nothing about it.

BREAKING: Obama Releases His First Message as a Private Citizen. Please Read.

Even after leaving office, President Obama continues to prove his character. In the face of rampant authoritarianism, Obama will speak for middle-class America.

In a tweet, Obama stated that he would get back to work after a much-needed vacation. Obama’s loyalty to America and the middle-class will provide needed sunshine in Trump’s days of darkness.

Obama’s return to work could result in a full-time job. With Trump and Republicans dismantling his worker-friendly legacy for greed, he will be busy.

Obama will need to lead the fight for affordable healthcare for all. Congress has passed repeal legislation, and Trump will sign it.

The repeal of Obamacare will cost a trillion dollars and will add 350+ billion dollars to the deficit. And 26 million or more Americans will lose health insurance.

Obama’s focus also needs to be on human rights, both international and at home. Obama will need to lead the fight against Trump’s racist and nationalist policies.

Another area of concern is the economy. Economists predict a huge recession very soon, and Obama can lead the fight to prevent that.

The former president will have his hands full. We can only hope that he will lead us through these days of Donald Trump.

We must show our support for President Obama and thank him for what he did and what he will do. His leadership will expose Republicans for the greedy, self-serving people they are.
