i'd like to express my unpopular opinion here, just because i want.

i want, i wish, i am praying for Simon Kjær to get Ballon d'Or. yes, maybe, he is not the best defender in the world, just one of the bests. maybe, he hasn't won anything this season, and that is Giorgio Chiellini who deserves the world (and it also would be doubtless good if it finally was Gio to win). and as to "win everything", at least, that is Jorginho (and just no one else), and that is also would be OK, if he won Ballon d'Or.

so, that will be not very honest if Simon wins, according to his football results, but... when the hell Ballon d'Or was ever honest?!?! but in these tough, strange and cruel times shouldn't we mark and celebrate the act of humanity, the pure bravery and courage, the strength of unity, that always is taught by football? shouldn't we right now clearly and once again understand the simplest and the most important things: a human's life is above everything, football is much more than just a game, people of big football are always in plain sight — stadiums, cameras, papers, social nets... and they bear this weight for us and instead of us. and that is what actually Ballon d'Or celebrates.

in any other cases, except these three, Ballon d'Or will be cancelled for me (not unexpected at all). of course, i clearly understand that people will vote for Sterling or someone else... well, ok.
