Reflection
I was born in India and lived there for 15 years, I thought doing a research and understanding about my birthplace is important. It is important to know how the society treats women. After finishing the research, now I can understand how I got privileged to live in a world that is safe for women. I don’t get get blamed for getting harassed here. The law enforcement is responsive and active to help anyone. In here Women are well educated and independent at almost everything. They choose their own carrier and marry whenever they want to and have great freedom. I realized that women have many things achieve in their lives aside from taking care of their husband and children. Now I feel privileged than billions of females in India to live in a country that considers female population as a significant part of the population. It is my fortunate to come here and feel the equality and freedom of women, which are still oppressed in India. I started to see myself as a human being that has all the rights that men have. Gender oppression is not bad as in India. People who are born here can also understand that they are also privileged to live in a country that is violence free and safe for women.
Even women are facing troubles in America, it is not bad as in the streets of India. In here, the women are not blamed for other’s cruelty in them. It is true that women get harassed in public transport and public spaces more often. Men find it is their right to take power over them. It destroys a women’s self-confidence and make her vulnerable. Most of the male population in India don’t know that it is crime to whistle or catcall a women. It is not easy to change the large population at once. The government should take responsibility to change the society and empowerment of women little by little. As I am finishing up the project, I think that women also have greater responsibility for teaching their son’s to behave properly to every human being that they have relation with. Equality among males and females should be an important concern for the government. The people of India have to change in order to end this oppression against women.
*sigh* I knew I would regret picking up Clinton Kelly's 'Oh no she didn't'. Rude, racist, privileged, judgmental, patriarchal bullshit. I only just finished the first page.

I just saw a post saying that white punks use police brutality and other political issues as memes and that white punk is fetishizes radical political ideals which makes some sense because I'm sure that does happen. as a whole, we white people suck; that being said it concluded saying that white punk political discourse should not be "mistaken" to be sincere political discourse I know that we white people have a lot to make up for and that we don't deserve coddling but it is somewhat confusing to see something that says that fighting this oppressive system even in a somewhat problematic? Or accessorized? Way is disgusting and fetishism
