NAADAN FISH CURRY
INGREDIENTS
1. Fish – 1kg Cleaned and Cut into chunks
2. Priyom Fish masala powder - 4 Tbsp.
3. Coconut Oil – 100 ml4. Mustard Seeds – 1 tbsp.
5. Shallots – 1 cup
6. Ginger – 2 tbsp. Finely chopped
7. Garlic – 6 cloves finely chopped
8. Curry leaves – 2 stalks
9. Green Chili- 4 no’s
10. Turmeric Powder- 1.4 tbsp.
11. Kudampulli – 6 – 8 no’s
12. Water – 1.5 Cups or as desired
13. Salt – To taste
METHOD OF PREPARATION
Heat oil in a deep sauce pan, Add mustard seed and allow them to crackle. And once they start spluttering, sauté ginger, garlic, green chili, shallots and curry leaves until they turn translucent. Add priyom fish masala and turmeric and mix well. Add water, kudampuli and salt. Allow it to boil. Put the fish pieces into it. Cook on a low flame for 15-20 mins or until done. serve hot with steam Puttu.
STEAM PUTTU
Mix 1 glass Priyom puttu podi with sufficient salt and 1 glass water. Keep for 20 minutes, prepare puttu adding required quantity of coconut scrapings in steam for 5 minutes.
