Reading your vox owns alastor soul fic, and i find it so funny you kind of guessed canon with velvette "you could discredit him in every way imaginable! Make him a laughing stock!"
Honestly, I kind of want to make a post after the season is all out with a list of all the moments in my writing that got close to canon. I've had multiple moments watching this season where I'm like, 'wait, what the fuck - I wrote this!'
Because the disastrous business proposal in Red with Envy:
Alastor laughed. “Oh, I’m afraid I will have to give you a ‘no’ on that, too! I thought I had already made it quite clear that I see no point to your little alliance.” Vox felt like his world was caving in around him, but he pushed through. “Val and I are so much stronger together than we ever were apart,” he argued. “And you would be, too! We’d be able to support each other, and…” He trailed off because Alastor was already shaking his head, and he was still laughing. Vox had never hated his laugh so much. “My dear, please stop. Reliance on others is a weakness, and I simply refuse to cheapen myself, as you have done!"
And reflecting on their past in Prized Acquisition:
“Well, I suppose you do have sadly few friends,” he reasoned, his voice taking on a mocking tone. “Ah-hah! I was talking about entertainment, Vox, not friends!”
Leading to the moment I will never get over...
“I enjoyed your company. At least until you went and ruined it!” Vox’s screen glitched in his surprise at the admission.
^^ Honestly, this entire exchange included bits and pieces of things I'd written, and I'm still reeling.
