HC + flowers.
♇ headcanon;
The simple answer is that Hades doesn’t like flowers. He finds them to be trivial. They only have sentimental value and die once they’re picked, so what’s the point?
The deeper answer is that he dislikes flowers because they remind him of joy, life, love - all that cute fluffy shit that is the exact opposite of everything he embodies. And spring. Hades hates spring for a variety of reasons, but the biggest one is that Persephone is no longer in the Underworld with him. As much as he acts like he doesn’t care for his wife, he’s developed a soft spot for her over the years and truly does miss her when she’s gone. The god frowns upon sentimentality yet cannot escape it himself.
Dead flowers are cool though.
