Promises, trust, and bad intentions vs reality.
People like to tell me they "promise to God" when I don't believe them. What does promising to God actually mean though? Is God just up in heaven backing honesty checks for people with bad trust credit? Or does he come down and smite the person who made the promise if said person lied? How about getting someone to believe you by promising on someones grave; the persons dead what do they care about your promise. What if you promise on the grave of a liar who went to hell does that nullify the promise? Or in death do they become some holy object by which you may swear all your promises by, regardless of which afterlife amusement park they're stuck in? What does promising on someones grave do? If you lie will the person's soul be dammed for eternity because you lied about some petty shit? What about promising on someones life, if you lie will that kill the person whom you promised on? If so that's pretty damn selfish of you, to put someones life on the line just to make someone believe you. How about when you joke about someone dying or getting hurt and someone says something akin to 'you shouldn't say stuff like that!' because for some reason they believe that saying something 'bad' will make it happen; but no one says shit if you joke about someone making a million dollars because 'that could never happen.' exactly! and joking that someone will get hurt or die will also not make it happen. People are so pessimistic that they believe saying something bad will happen can make it happen, but saying something good will never make it happen... In my opinion if you gotta promise on something or someone for someone to believe you then you aren't a pretty trustworthy fellow to begin with and promising on shit really wont change that in the end. People believe in some dumb shit that makes no sense to me. -_-
Worth
Words are worth nothing but everything
They posses the power to change
To hope and to make
A variety and range
Of beliefs among others
They trust you
And you want them too
But slip up and you lose
your worth.
