Networking is really beneficial for graphic design students to connect with the industry and showcase their design work. This night gave me the opportunity to meet and talk to professional designers/creatives including people from Textbook Studio located in Salford, Vivid Manchester and Magnafi.

Really interesting talk by Made By Alphabet a few weeks ago. They explained about what life is like after graduation and there experiences with working in the industry.
They also discussed a few key points to consider;
Have a USP
Never do work for free
Do work for cheap - If it benefits you
Understand yourselves
Get an accountant
Reach out and show initiative
Get yourself out there
Get in with the local community
Don’t take yourself too seriously
Do self-initiated work that makes you happy/keeps you sane
