Here is a reminder to you all that the Uchiha clan is the ONLY clan and I repeat the ONLY clan in the entire series to possess voluminous reserves of distinctly potent chakra, while the Senju and Uzumaki having large reserves of potent chakra is purely a fanon myth created by the fandom to prop up the two clans and Naruto himself to make themselves feel good.

Now for this next part before bringing up any scans let me address a common cop-out or flimsy excuse most people like to use to defend this shitty argument, the stuff about one brother inheriting the Sage's eyes and the other his body is a myth, an in-universe myth, a myth that, if I recall correctly, came from Black Zetsu after he altered the Uchiha Stone Tablet. The story again was about myth, to try and get the transmigrants of Indra and Asura to combine their chakra for rinnegan manifestation, however, the fandom is stupid beyond imagination to understand what a unreliable narrator is, because this was a myth not anything factual and true. As a matter of fact this same myth was debunked by Hagoromo himself, who came out and flatly said that Indra and ONLY Indra inherited his chakra gene and potency, as well as his eyes, while Asura inherited nothing in the genetics department, here's the scan:

As a result of this, Indra's descendants, the Uchiha inherited his chakra gene and potency as well as his eyes too.

Hagoromo then goes on to state that Asura meanwhile inherited nothing from his parents, explaining that Naruto is just like him, he inherited NOTHING from his parents either, the Sage went as far as to state both Naruto and Asura were/are both dunces (he's not the first person to claim this about Naruto, and I doubt he'll be the last) while Indra had exceptional powers and talents since birth

Hagoromo also states that Asura awakened some kind of power through cooperation, which is clearly referring to Sage Mode, which, with the exception of Jugo's clan, has nothing to do with genetic inheritance from the Sage

The Senju and their offshoot Uzumaki as Asura's direct descendants DO NOT possess any large or potent chakra, Hashirama and Nagoto were anomalies for the Senju and Uzumaki clans respectively, they were the only members of their respective clans to possess large volumes of chakra, and in Hashirama's case his chakra was potent too, he was also the only member of the Senju clan to possess a kekkei genkai, his Mokuton.

The Senju clan were known for their jutsu variety, and that's why they were able to keep up with the Uchiha in the Warring States Period. The Uzumaki clan being an offshoot of the Senju have no great chakra perks

Instead what the Uzumaki clan has is a peculiar chakra that turns their hair a certain shade of red (the exact shade is never confirmed) and this grants them heightened vitality and resilience, this is explicity stated by Kabuto who incorporated Karin's bloodline into his system, and there's absolutely no reason for him to lie here as not only does it not contradict what the Sage stated above, but also because Kabuto had just explained how he incorporated the bloodlines and kekkei genkai of Suigetsu, Jugo, Kimimaro, the Sound 4, and Orochimaru, and he dropped more information both Orochimaru's experiments with the Curse Marks and Jugo's own clan, so him revealing these facts on the Uzumaki clan are the truth

This is later confirmed by Tobirama as well, who being a sensory type ninja was able to confirm that Karin was an Uzumaki just by sensing her chakra

Now before anyone brings up that bullshit about Kushina let me just state that she per her own admission was an anomaly too, like Hashirama and Nagoto, with her chakra being unusually potent for an Uzumaki

The Uzumaki clan's chain jutsu is nothing more than a Hiden, a hidden technique, passed down orally through the generations, not a kekkei genkai. Karin learned it at some point in her life (I don't remember if she was self-taught or taught be someone else), Nagato for some reason never learned it, and nobody taught Naruto because no one knew them

Additionally power can have different connotations and meanings, with the Uzumaki clans power being reflected in their vitality, it doesn't grant them power in the traditional sense.

As a quick aside, nothing indicates that Karin has large reserves of chakra either, in fact during Taka's battle with Bee, Karin healed Sasuke's non-fatal injuries (which Bee himself confirmed) and sensed Bee's location, after that she was out.

While the Uchiha clan's chakra potency translates into raw power, meaning it's naturally strong and powerful on its own as is, and this is because the Uchiha clan inherited the potent chakra and flower from the Shinju (God Tree), which Kaguya possessed as she's a combination of the God Tree and Ten Tails, and she possessed the sharingan too, just like her son, and later eldest grandson did after her, not her other son or youngest grandson, just her elder son and elder grandson

The Uchiha clans potent chakra can also be seen in the following examples, to quote Dushman-e-jaan:

-The Genjutsu, even at 3-Tomoe (3T) stage, is unbreakable and requires two people to break out of it. (Don't bring up Bee, because he was a Perfect Jinchuriki and Hachibi broke him out of it, which fulfilled the rule; even for the perfect Jinchurukis, Jins, the breaking step isn't perfect or immediate as it took Bee several seconds to recover from Sasuke's Genjutsu; Sasuke could've killed him as he lay out-cold by his feet; however, as he'd come to capture Bee, he didn't avail that moment; Obito also controlled Yagura, a perfect Jin, for years, so there's that, too.) Nothing is safe from it, not even the Biju. Even Kurama, which requires Mangekyou Sharingan (MS) to control it, can be easily put under Genjutsu and suppressed using a regular 3T Sharingan. Sasuke did just that in the manga. So did Madara. So did Obito. Why else do you think the Uchiha were suspected?

Even the Sound Genjutsu that was enhanced through Senjutsu by Kabuto was easily broken by Sasuke and Itachi by casting Genjutsu on each other; so Sharingan Genjutsu is so potent that it nullifies a Senjutsu-powered Genjutsu. Remember, Senjutsu enhances all Jutsus at least by 5 times. Had the Genjutsu not been enhanced by Senjutsu, it'd have not even affected the Sharingan.

Which is another thing that was shown via Chee and Kurenai. Both are said to be Genjutsu prodigies. Chee is even a medic on top of that, so he can control the chakra more precisely. The Sharingan, when it appears in the eyes, naturally runs on chakra, and it's so ridiculously potent that it can just reflect a weak Genjutsu back at the caster and nullify it at the same time. This is what happened to Kurenai: Itachi didn't cast a Genjutsu on her; his Sharingan just reflected her own Genjutsu back at her, and she had to bite her lip to break out of it (pain nullifies Genjutsu, which is how Shikamaru broke out of Tayuya's sound Genjutsu; however, that doesn't work for Sharingan); and as it rendered her Genjutsu useless, it removed it from Kisame, as well. Same thing happened against Chee: Sasuke's Sharingan straight up just made the Genjutsu useless and removed it from Jugo. At the same time! So if that isn't chakra potency, what's happening here, then? Can someone explain how, why, and for what reason does the ability exceed the chakra input so astronomically?

-The Katon Jutsus of the clan, which are very distinct to them, break apart solid stone and dig into the earth. They're that powerful. No other Katon jutsu is shown to behave that way. In fact, no other Ninjutsu save Mokuton and Uchihas own Ninjutsus are shown to work that way. (I'm not counting Doton as it works by injecting the user's chakra into earth and manipulating it, so manipulating earth is kinda what it does.) This was shown plainly when Itachi intercepted Kakashi, Naruto, Sakura, and Chiyo. That wasn't even Itachi and Kisame but clones of theirs that used Suna Shinobis as their chakra receivers. The clones were operating at 30% of their original potency, speed, and chakra; and still, his Katon was so powerful that it dug into stones and its explosion could be seen from miles away. Sasuke's Dragon Katon Jutsu broke apart the Uchiha hide-out that was made out of pure stone and kick started a thunder storm. Now, granted, it's a bit unfair to compare any Uchiha to Sasuke as his chakra and Sharingan, as stated by several characters, are far, far stronger than other Uchihas (he was going to control the Gedo Mazo, GM, single-handedly, remember? Not even Obito, who was pumped up with Hashirama cells, could do that effectively; and Itachi was shown to do that with the group, as well); however, this is still ridiculous level of potency. (And no, it's confirmed by the DB that that Jutsu started the storm, not Amaterasu; Amarterasu started the second one.)

The Katon Jutsus are shown to burn off biju chakra with ease: Obito's regular Katon Jutsu drilled holes into Naruto's BM cloak, which was so thick that it took a full blast from Jubi and withstood it at the cost of 6 tails. Sasuke's Katon nullified an entire summon with a single use. Come on! What more do I have to say here? What about Amaterasu? It burns for 7 days and nights; is capable of accelerating thunder storms; destroys natural energy, literally wipes it out from the area (Kaguya's crystal prison was broken apart by Amatersu, against which Naruto's Tsbs of all the things were struggling, which according to Tobirama and Hiruzen work like Jinton; and it immediately rendered Kabuto's Inorganic Reincarnation, which works entirely on natural energy, with a teeny-tiny use of Sasuke's Amaterasu); and can hurt and/or kill bijuu (Hachibi lost several of its tails to it; the very same tails it used to start a whirlwind that uprooted a chunk of the forest and kept it safe against Jubi's tailed beast bomb, tbb). I mean, if Amaterasu isn't carrying the Uchiha chakra, which chakra is it carrying? Jesus, fuck, this fanbase is obnoxious.

-What about Susanoo? If the Uchiha don't have ridiculously large reserves, how are they able to construct a sentinel, which matches half-Kurama in size even at V3 level (forget Final/V4 and Perfect Susanoo, PS), that large; it possesses several chakra-layers, each construct with its own layer? This was not only shown but also talked about by Obito, Danzo, and Zetsu. What the fuck are you people even reading? How was Sasuke constantly able to maintain highest Susanoo levels and abuse Amaterasu and his other Jutsus at EMS without breaking a sweat, whilst Naruto was being charged up by Kurama, if he doesn't have absurd levels of chakra? At Hebi level, Sasuke was not only using Cursed Seal 2, which erodes chakra canonically, but also keeping Orochimaru suppressed 24/7? Because he was allocating a vast amount of chakra to these tasks and still he had so much to spare! (Another point to note here is that Sasuke rested very little between his battles against Deidara, Itachi, Bee, and the 5 Kages and Danzo; he almost fought them back to back!)

How was Madara able to keep up with Hashirama in their battles and control Kurama at the same time? What about Danzo? As soon as the Uchiha Chakra in his arm got used up, Hashirama's chakra nearly killed him, which is explicitly stated in the manga; and he was using such a tiny amount of that in each eye in his arm which was made up entirely of Mokuton. Compared to that, half of Obito's body was made up of Hashirama's cells. It did nothing to him as his chakra on its own is extremely large and potent, so Mokuton couldn't take-over and affect him in any manner.

I'm going to end this point on Itachi, as it got long enough, who, canonically, has poor reserves for an Uchiha: when he met Sasuke at the cave before their battle, he used a crow clone which reduces the chakra nearly by half (DB states it); so when he fought Sasuke, he was already at almost half the chakra he'd normally have. Then he used 3T genjutsu several times; shuriken-jutsu; crow clone (which halved his chakra again, so he was using less than 1/4th of his chakra from this point onwards); Tsukuyomi, Katon twice, Amaterasu, and, at last, V4 Susanoo (which is Susanoo's highest state as it uses 4 sentinel layers; PS is simply V4 with its chakra stabilized) that killed him. I rest my case. Also, last but not least, but how do the Uzumaki, an offshoot clan of Senju whose progenitor, Ashura, didn't even inherit the potent chakra gene, have a chakra more potent than the Uchiha clan who's not only the main line but also whose progenitor did inherit the potent chakra gene? Does that idiotic argument make any sense to you?

There are other examples too, despite Shisui being long dead, his chakra still lingered on within his Mangekyo Sharingan, and his particular chakra was detected by Ao in Danzo during the 5KS

When Obito saw Rin die, him being within close proximity caused the sharingan in Kakashi's socket mutate into the Mangekyo sharingan (Kakashi didn't awaken or achieve the Mangekyo, Obito alone did). Despite Itachi being dead and his eyes being in his younger brothers sockets Sasuke was still able to see and access his brother's memories.

The reason for this is because the Sharingan as Tobirama states they're eyes that reflect the heart, and the Uchiha's clans potent chakra remains long after the individual is gone

The Uchiha clan's chakra is so potent and great that it's able to overcome paralysis seals, as seen with Sasuke who overcame Danzo's curse mark after letting out a surge of chakra, as a reminder Uchiha chakra thickens when the emotions are high, his chakra traveled through and out of his system into his Susanoo

It is to be noted however that this particular feat is one unique to Sasuke as his chakra volume and potency are through the roof by Uchiha standards, Obito despite being another pure-blooded Uchiha couldn't overcome the Curse Seal Madara placed on his heart and instead had to trick Kakashi into destroying his heart to remove it. So that's just how powerful Sasuke's chakra is, mind you Sasuke's just 16-17 here while Obito is 31.

Speaking of Sasuke, I'm going to close the post off with touching on his unique chakra. As I just mentioned even for an Uchiha his chakra volume and potency are through the fucking roof, being extremely potent, voluminous, and thicker, Senjutsu chakra, this is confirmed and stated by Karin who states that his chakra was thicker than in the Curse Marks 2nd state, reminder the 2nd state of Orochimaru's curse marks increases the users chakra volume, potency, and power by 10 times

The entity in the first image is Sasuke's chakra as Karin sees it, additionally the CS 2 canonically erodes the users chakra and psyche, but Sasuke canonically was using it, his own jutsu's, Orochimaru's white snake abilities on the fly (he was never taught them or anything), and keeping the man himself suppressed all the while having one of the two best Cursed Seals Orochimaru had ever created, he and Kimimaro were given the Cursed Seals of Heaven and Earth respectively.

Additionally the Cursed Seals are literally just Jugo's Sage Mode, and as he and Orochimaru stated it's entirely Senjutsu

That's how impressive Sasuke's chakra is for an Uchiha.

Indra is moon because?

I wondered why Indra and his reincarnations are taked as the moon. It just got weird for me.

Indra's eyes were red as the sun. His black flame jutsu is named after the sun goddess. His natural element is fire, directly related to the sun. Damn, even the red part of the Uchiha clan cross looks like the rising sun. Where did the moon come from then?

And then it dawned on me. Indra is not the moon because it suits him.

Indra is moon because he reminds his father of Kaguya.

Hagoromo is sure that his son is a dangerous, power-hungry monster, just like his mother. The mother who became the moon. These are his direct words. So it doesn't matter what Indra really is, as long as he is dangerous in the eyes of his father, he will be the moon. He will be a reflection of Kaguya to him.

(And yes, Indra really is a power hungry monster in anime fillers but in his defense I will say that he is a cutie)

Hi there, nice person. Well, I think that Hagoromo was obviously a biased father with no parenting abilities and a clear, shameless favouritism for one if his children. He ruined their children's lives by seeding discord between them and acting in a blatantly unfair way. He had two sons who were perfectly complementary to each other and, instead of stetting them to cooperate, he left all the power to one hoping the other would just submit to him and serve him in exchange for nothing. This was his idea of "love and cooperation", favouring one part while the other just gives in and accepts whichever humiliation and dishonour. He claims to seek peace, but peace can't never be cemented on injustice and discrimination, something many heroes of the story never seem to grasp.

Indra was left with nothing but a rock, where his father even engraved warnings against power for his successors, a testimonial of how much he distrusted Indra and how he extended that distrust to all his bloodline, even those who were not even born yet. The stone tablet is a testimonial of Hagoromo's everlasting prejudice. It is extremely upsetting and, when Indra is portrayed as evil, jealous or unreasonable, I seriously can't believe people can't consider how betrayed and failed he must have felt.

As I was telling once to a mutual, imagine you own a farm and you have two children. One knows how to handle animals, grow crops, and manage all the work in the farm, but he is null with people. The other knows nothing about the work, but he excels at finding clients, suppliers, organises exchanges with the community... Would you leave the farm to the "people person" child and expect the other to just be ok with it and work for free under the lead of the child who knows nothing about how the business works? And when the excluded child gets angry as expected, you blame him for the farm not working properly? "Oh, my child does not want to be used and treated unfairly, so now the farm does not work and people go hungry, he is so mean!"

That is what Hagomoro did here. He gave the power solely to the dumb child, hoping that "power of friendship" would compensate for his lack of talent and knowledge. But the dumb child and his descendants could never make peace. And this was not only due to the fact that Indra and his descendants were angry at their unfair treatment and challenged their greedy relatives. When the "Asuras" are in charge of power, all they have is nice words and empty promises, but in reality they only create chaos and their only worry is to keep hoarding power and influence. They can't achieve anything because they don't know how to do it. They are simply not capable and they only care for themselves, despite their friendly façade. They are of course expert people pleasers, which makes them good manipulators and demagogues, but never good leaders.

In summary, Indra was treated unfairly and he is the victim in this story. (And, as his last living descendant, if I ever see Hagoromo again I will stuck that stone table up his ass)

How much Hagoromo's traumas over his mother influenced his decision to disown the person who awakened eyes that looked like Rinne Sharingan ? He discussed about cooperation and love but Ashura wasn't cooperative and lovely, as his transmigrants were trying to subjugate Indora's transmigrants through deception and violence for centuries.

Hagoromo is definitely very afraid of his mother. His belief system is built on that fear.

He compares Indra excessively to Kaguya. So much in fact that it should be very concerning. He literally at first used Indra's name instead of Kaguya's when he talked about how their world is right now the way Kaguya would have had it become.

Indra is (in the manga) never shown with the Rinne Sharingan though. He’s only shown with the Sharingan. The Sharingan itself is another thing (connected to Kaguya) that Hagoromo is worried or actually even fearful about unlike the Rinnegan, which he possesses himself. That has further negative consequences on how he views and treats Indra.

Another reason why he’s biased against Indra and biased towards Ashura is his view towards war, violence and peace. He created ninshu to inspire hope (apparently for peace - though more importantly for order), but he still taught ninshu as connecting chakra through fighting against each other.

As you can see in my first linked post, Hagoromo keeps up the struggle for power, but he’s afraid of someone being much more powerful by themselves than other people. That’s why he’s desperate for “cooperation”, which is an act of love for him. He views order as peace while having no thoughts about oppression.

In case of his children it resulted in him wanting Ashura to be stronger and Indra to have less power. This fixated fear of his can also be seen in the way he views Madara as lusting for power even though for Madara it’s just the means to his goal of the only peace in the world that he can imagine.

Basically, Hagoromo's decision to disown Indra was entirely because of his fear of Kaguya. The Sharingan is just a part of it though. Hagoromo’s view of cooperation and love is twisted because of his fear of Kaguya. Because of that anyone who even has only superficial likeness to her, which he can’t relate to, will be oppressed and anyone who doesn’t resemble her at all has a chance to thrive. As a result people who have the Sharingan and loners, especially loners who try to achieve their ambition alone are being maligned unless they do everything in service and self-sacrifice for the ones who are allowed to thrive in the name of “cooperation” and “love”.

I would love to read your take of Indra. Do you think Hagoromo was scared of him (saw too much of Kaguya in him, maybe) and that's why Indra went down that path? You know, get treated like a monster and you eventually become one?

That's a really good question and honestly, I think he did fear him but I also feel there's some nuance here that'll be hard to articulate but it's not in Hagoromo’s favor.

Okay, like I said I definitely agree that Hagoromo feared his eldest son, as he inherited his chakra gene and potency, as well as the Sharingan, which his mother all possessed, and Hagoromo did fear his mother with every fiber of his being. It's like when the his differences between his sons became apparent and as they grew and matured he essentially projected his own fears of Kaguya onto his eldest son, who did nothing wrong, that's set in stone. However, think there's a bit more here as to why Indra turned on his father, firstly as a minor aside Black Zetsu admitted that Indra was the first one to be manipulated, however, while the anime shows him directly speaking to him, in the manga he did this through the tablet Hagoromo left for Indra and his line. But in the grand-scheme of things Hagoromo himself is ultimately the one who screwed Indra over, with Zetsu's scheme's just solidifying everything.

Okay let me address the main reason why Indra turned on his father, Hagoromo passed over him and made Asura, the younger son, heir, all because he thought Asura believed in love and Indra, he thought didn't. Despite Indra, being the eldest and the most capable son, Hagoromo still saw it fit to choose the duller, less capable, younger son to inherit his legacy, while also relegating his older son to assisting him, and hoping said older son would accept that shit, and this understandably was the main reason why Indra lost his shit, well this and Hagoromo leaving him and his lineage with a rock with shitty writing on it, but you get the point. Now in East Asian societies, it's the son, specifically the eldest son, that carries on the family line, and when it comes to inheritance, the eldest son traditionally gets everything, down to the last penny while the rest usually get jackshit in return. The eldest son carries on the fathers legacy. Look at Madara and Hashirama, both of them were chosen by their fathers to be their heirs, instead of Izuna and Tobirama, because they were the eldest in their families, Itachi was initially chosen to be Fugaku's heir because he was the eldest child (Mikoto says as much to Sasuke in their conversation after Sasuke was made heir), however, when he proved to not have the clans best interests at heart Fugaku chose Sasuke, his younger son, to be heir, which is a very big deal. Now of course there are some exceptions here and there, but they're exceedingly rare, the Sasuke example could qualify as such. Also East Asian society centers on honor and shame.

When you take these into consideration, it's completely understandable why Indra would turn on his father, as he was supposed to be the one to inherit his fathers legacy, by birthright, by the standards, customs, and traditions, of their society, and because he was talented enough to earn it. Remember Indra inherited his fathers genetic powers was a genius, while Asura meanwhile was had everything handed to him on a silver platter. Indra by right was worthy of carrying his father's legacy

Better yet, it's not only understandable from Indra's perspective or Japan either, it's understandable on a human level, any firstborn in Indra's position would feel just as insulted, human history is loaded with these types of clashes, and they go on even today across all cultures and societies throughout the world.

Again, Hagoromo definitely feared Indra for possessing his genetic powers, which reminded him of his mother, but that fear alone didn't turn Indra away from him, it was the shame and dishonor he brought on him by choosing Asura over him and leaving him the stone tablet, while expecting to take that shit lying down is what fully drove Indra away. It was all this bullshit that caused Indra to rightfully lash out at his father and brother, and try to regain what was denied to him by force. Also I wouldn't even call Indra's path a dark one, nor would I consider him a monster, SP tries to make him out to be one despite Canon saying otherwise, but SP has always been full of shit so no surprise there, but I will his behavior is understandable and again rightful, as Hagoromo's shortsightedness and fears of his mother, royally screwed over his eldest son and line, but it also caused his younger son and his line to cause so much death and destruction to the world.

Alright, in my opinion, Sasuke, Madara, Obito, and even Fugaku have the best drip among the Uchiha.

You're free to debate on Fugaku's drip if you want but I think he looks awesome. Also special mention to the Uchiha clan progenitor, Indra Otsutsuki, himself for both looking cool and for passing on his genetics to the Uchiha clan.

Moreover, ninjutsu is more common than ninshuu. Ninshuu did not even keep its name, becoming the will of fire in the Senju clan. Ninjutsu has never changed its name and is still active in the shinobi world. Indra's legacy is powerful and strong, and no matter how the world changes, part of his idiology will always live on, even if the Uchiha are no more.
