In Ireland the government is voting whether or not to allow abortion where the woman is suicidal (and only under those circumstances). The precedence was set for this 20 years ago, only now are they bringing in legislation to support it.
What follows are are all things that Youth Defence, elected Irish Government officials, journalists and others have said about abortion when there is a risk of suicide, including such quotes as:
"Such legislation could accelerate suicide rates in younger men in Ireland, where the real problem lies".
