OMFG TFS PRO SHOT IS HAPPENING GUYS OMG GUYS OMGGG
watching pro shots of musicals in Spotify is so weird AND fun
i really hope that the hamilton pro-shot will encourage other musicals to do something similar because it might be expensive to do but it brings a whole new audience, and people would be more likely to go to the theatre to watch it!! bootlegs got be more chill to broadway, imagine what could happen if musicals released pro shots,,,, i know it’s pretty controversial but the theatre industry is very flawed and classist,, lots of people can’t afford to go to the theatre so more pro shots would allow people to enjoy the art in a slightly different way
I got some professional shots done ✨

Re: previous reblog:
I would so happily buy a pro-shot of the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory musical with Christian Borle.
And now I also really want a video of Something Rotten.
Just...gimme (gimme gimme) professional videos of stage musicals and I would LOVE to add them to my collection, and encourage others to do the same.
More accessibility and more sales! Come on, folks!
And while I'm putting in requests, I NEED Hadestown. Maybe multiple copies.
And bring back the old PBS performances on disk.
Okay. I know that An American in Paris isn’t the most popular show, but there’s a surprisingly huge turn out in my theater today??? Like maybe pro shots are catching on??? Idk. It makes me happy.
Okay. The few followers that I have are probably irritated with all my Bandstand posts/reblogs, but bear with me here. I won’t go on and on about what a truly beautiful, heartbreaking, and heartwarming show this is (though I’d seriously like to). But please go see it. Even if you think it’s something you won’t like, go support it. It has a great message, and you’d also be showing your support for more musical pro shots in general. I’ve been obsessed with this show ever since the cast recording was released and I was lucky enough to get to see it on the big screen tonight, after basically thinking I would never get the chance to see it. So yeah. Maybe you think “oh, this isn’t really the show for me”. Go support it anyways. It will open the door for other shows if there’s a response to this like there has been for other, bigger name, pro shots. You never know...it could be one of your fav shows that gets a spot on the big screen!
P.s. there’s no way you won’t like it if you go see it!
