lukewarm take: you are not radqueer if there are any transidβs you donβt support.
Reminder for transautistics!!
You ARE autistic
You aren't hurting anyone by being autistic
If someone is offended by your identity, it's a them problem, and they can deal
You're helping cisautistics, not harming them!! We're so grateful you exist (we as in cisautistics)
One day, the world WILL accept you for who you are ΛΝβ‘ΛΝ

MADE BY A DIAGNOSED CISAUTISTIC. I AM PROFESSIONALLY DIAGNOSED dont start fights over me "faking" autism or smth
made for my headmates since we have lots of transtransASD headmates and i never see much rep for it! so here :D
TIPS FOR TRANSAUTISTIC PEOPLE (FROM A CISAUTISTIC!!)
(p.s, autism is a spectrum, it's very different for everyone. Although you need to show a bit of signs, it doesn't matter how you show the signs as long as it looks believable so you can transition!!)

1. dislike the texture of a certain food (I personally, do not like sloppy things, but I would suggest disliking the textures of foods you dislike. Claim you do not like the texture. So it looks a bit more believable? Or just choose a random texture you think sucks to you)
2. Have a certain texture you really like. Personally I love fluffy things very much, and that's what I prefer
3. HAVE A HYPERFIXTATION... Although hyperfixtations fuck me up in the head sometimes, it doesn't have to be that way for everyone!! Choose a fandom your in, talk about the subject alot, research on it, make alot of ocs based on it, make alot of references!! OR instead of a fandom it could be anything. Like an anime or a niche subject!! If you lose interest while doing that in the meantime, that's a burnout, that's apart of autism, don't worry!
4. Misunderstand people, (although you don't have to, this is optional as we are all different. I still highly suggest it!) when you misunderstand people you take their tone the wrong way, which is also apart of autism.
5. Safe foods, anything can be a safe food it just can't be the thing you have a sensory issue too ofc.
Examples; nuggets, fries, hasbrowns, bagels, noodles, shrimp, and such. (If any of these are your sensory issues don't consider it your safe food alright? :3)
6. Talk about how autism affects you a lot, online. Talk about how people don't understand you and that you struggle with foods, that you have alot of mental breakdowns, that your hyperfixtations ruin your life due to obsession, that your special interests ruin your life due to obsession (I promise you will genuinely look believable, people always believe the ones who say their experience in autism is horrible. It is a DISABILITY after all ofc)
7. When strangers come by, get anxious awkwardly. Act a bit weird and stuff. (Optional, it can get different sometimes) Or, if you don't have social anxiety, try saying hi to people, basically every stranger you come by to. That's what I used to do before I developed getting so anxious
8. Have a bit of "childish" interests too, plushies, rainbows, and all that shi maybe. While it's "stereotypical", it's still true that some people in autism love these things.
9. TAKE SOME WORDS SERIOUS.
Metaphor example: "I'm so hungry I could eat a horse"
Response: "why would you eat a horse?.." and be serious about it!
10. Act a bit emotionless. Not that you can't laugh or be happy, you can laugh if you want. But have an emotionless face, while your brain is being happy, or sad, or whatever, if you want you can kinda "lie" to make it believable too. When your uninterested in a location (playground, restraunt, ect) that your parents/friends are happy about, just say "oh I'm happy I just don't know how to make my face happy very well" (it's not lying, to the norm it is however, that's my easiest way I could say it)
11. HATE noises like sirens, fork screeching, yelling, banging noises, chewing noises (which means no mukbang so if you don't wanna dislike mukbangs do not dislike chewing noises!)
12. Listen, this is gonna sound super crazy but a lot of autistic people love medieval fantasy, hyperfixtation, special intrest or not. They all love it. Try to get into medieval fantasy.
13. Not all hyperfixtations are about loving a certain fandom, it can also be about hating someone deeply. Try hating a fictional character ALOT. Do research on them and talk about how much you hate them. And all that.
14. Say unhinged shi like "yea I used to put grasshoppers in my noodles and choke them with it, then I poked one with needles", awkwardness is kinda key to autism too, this might help to get people to think you show signs of autism (you obviously are autistic since that's your identity, to the norm your "self diagnosed", so obviously don't listen to them)
15. PRESENT AS AUTISM ONLINE.
Nobody needs to know if your lying or not, your not lying. Nobody will know if your transautistic and shit!! So just present as autism online, you don't need to say your "transautistic" either, I suggest doing YouTube and Tiktok slime rants for it too, start off normal, but talk about your experiences in autism sometimes.
17. Bad hygiene, do not shower, have a sensory issue on brushing your teeth and stuff. IF you want. Obviously everyone's different and I don't suggest it, I don't want you to ruin your mental health over tips ofc. unless your transharmful or that you REALLY want to, go ahead you are free to do so.
18. Find simple things uncomfortable. Swallowing, rubbing hands, ect.
19. Misunderstand sarcasm and jokes!!
OKAY, THATS ALL. I might add more tips when I think more, I sometimes forget my triggers surprisingly.
Can we normalize finding some disorders cute?
I find my own tics cute at times. I have a tiny βmeowβ tic lately, and I wish people wouldnβt pity me for it happening. I do have negative ones, but theyβre not all bad.
And hey, my (Friend? Crush?) favorite guy Alex, heβs autistic. I find it adorable. He speaks very formally, but heβs been learning to use slang and speak casually. I love it, heβs adorable! :D
