Yesterday we were alerted of this "proartists antirecast SmartDoll maniac" (idk how else to describe it) complaining about very basic information "leaked", info that could be gotten from elsewhere at any moment in more detail. 🤣
Of course now it's blocked, although it's certainly a troll account. Still we feel like we should share some videos clearly showing the process of recasting anything, for science and because it's funny seeing antis get angry in general.
Now, to be honest, the person in question was using an awfully unpractical method that doesn't work for actually casting copies, and was using the results to sew cloth without scratching the torso of a doll, so, I talked to the other admin and came to the conclusion of posting actual videos on tutorials for recasting anything.
The silicone mold doesn't care if it's a resin bjd part, a plastic piece, or a smart doll, so... have fun!
Minifees are absolutely gorgeous and I’m so lucky to own such a beautiful doll!!!
I did her faceup and made her wig!!!!
Cooking chicken isn't an introduction to baking
Buying a prop sword isn't an introduction into sword collecting
Owning a goldfish isn't an introduction to fishing
Knitting isn't an introduction to sewing
Face painting isn't an introduction to makeup
Dancing on tiktok isn't an introduction to directing
Table tennis isn't an introduction to tennis
Cheerleading isn't an introduction to gymnastics
And owning a recast isn't an introduction to the bjd hobby
The bjd hobby and the rbjd hobby are two different things
When you buy a new recast "minifee" you get a thin blue box with random silver snowflakes, hard plastic lining, an illegitimate certificate of "authenticity", and a sponge
When you buy a new minifee you get a sturdy etched fairyland box, several pieces of thick padding, a true certificate of authenticity that has worth, and a facemask for added protection and storage
Purchasing an rbjd is not an introduction to the bjd hobby because not only does this hobby exist with it's own standards and practices that anti artists refuse to participate in, but the products they receive are NOT of the same caliber, with the average bjd being leagues above rbjds
Choosing an rbjd as a way to "test out" the bjd hobby will never be viable, because at the end of the day you aren't making your way into the bjd hobby, your RUNNING AWAY FROM IT and establishing yourself as a member of a completely different hobby
It's not the same
Never has been
Never will be

Court of the Dead Muse of Bone box opening!!!
I adore her. I can't wait to paint her. She has probably the nicest bjd cushion I have ever seen, too. It's hyper plush to keep her safe. Her head sculpt is to die for. The crown has so many little details.
She does have hand problems, though, as other muse owners have commented.
