Saw a post about how locusts are the result of grasshoppers undergoing immense stress, crowding, and starvation. How crazy is it that a species can undergo a change in their looks, their physiology, and become all around more aggressive due to stuff like that. Anyway
Man, the newest Bad Batch episode hit hard on me...
First off, I am glad they are touching on clone rights more. Like I think that is something everyone wants in the Star Wars universe. I also love all the references to other characters/shows (The senator Riyo Chuchi, the garage which Rafa and Trace Martez own, and bringing Halle Burtoni back).
However, with the bad batch I love that they have Rex in the episode. Love that he is saving other clones that need help.
But the main thing that got me is what Echo does. For how he does it and all the foreshadowing of things makes my dumb headcannon for him seem to fit in well.
For, Echo always seems to be left out of what the batch is doing. He is always the odd one or the one that makes things worse. Through the series Echo seems more distant than the rest with each other.
So during season 2, Echo starts to bring up regular clones more often and his past. He always looks tired and like he is regretting something. It looks like to me that he has survivors guilt still and thinks he is messing the team up.
So when they meet up with Rex again, Echo feels some joy with his friend. He feels like he has someone who has the same feelings about things like him, for instants the fight to save clones.
Within the time with the batch, Echo seem to lost his joy and almost upset with himself. Through season 2, he keeps referring the batch with the past tense "was". Like when Omega offers him to meditate, he says the batch "was" the place that he felt like he belonged. But now it faded as the war ended.
As how he worded his goodbye to the batch, it seems everyone knew he was leaving. Hunter, Wrecker, and Tech all seem alright with his decision. Maybe they understood why Echo wanted to leave or they just did not care? I hope it is the first one...
But having him join Rex to save other clones hits hard. For it seems like he is trying to make sure others do not end up like him. But he does not notice how much this will hurt the batch, especially Omega.
Like, man... At least he says it is not permanent. I think Echo is just needing space, for at the start of season 2 he seems to be upset with himself more.
I do not know fully, but I do know is that they better have Echo come back soon!! If he dies off screen or comes back for nothing I will be disappointed!!
Let's play "is this a good idea or am I being dumb" today's edition: moving to Chile for a year

I mostly thought of this one because I was listening to that reputation album by Taylor Swift just after reading a loceit fanfic but, what if Logan and Janus used to be in a relationship but broke up for some reason. I don't know, I feel stupid for writing this😔
Tooth:So how was having Jack as a roommate for these past few weeks?
Bunnymund: as well as it could be expected
Tooth: why? What happened?
Bunnymund:I got sick and he brought me a glass of water
Tooth:how is that a bad thing?
Bunnymund: because the little shit brought me a glass with ice cubes in it and told me to 'wait'
