Class is over so here's some hollow knight themed pollinator drawings for a project

Orchid bee (Euglossini) males use scents to attract females, males sometimes have mystax which is like a mustache so I enjoyed adding that

Fig wasp (Agaonidae) males hatch first and cut exit holes in the figs and the females escape thru the holes. The males usually die as soon as it's done and never leave the fig so I was like what if they could? Inspired by the beetlemoses comic with the angler fish

Bumble bees (Bombus terrestris) play, inspired by baseball and using a thimble as a helmet

The first pollinator Angimordella burmitina (and a thrip), inspired by the earliest fossilized pollinator and I used cave drawings to play into its antiquity. And I thought it would be cute if the thrip was it's friend

The cops very clearly planted evidence on him because they had to make an arrest because all eyes were on them and whoever actually did the deed was making them look stupid.

Why would the real killer hero have kept the weapon on his person and traveled two states over while carrying it and a manifesto in his bag, conveniently turning the crime into a federal matter? The same guy whose bag they found in a park, filled with monopoly money? Why did the police turn off their bodycams, take Luigi's stuff, drive a block away, turn their bodycams back on, go back into the restaurant, and then arrest him?

From the moment of his arrest, even left-of-center media has been presuming his guilt without examining anything (e.g. calling him "the killer" instead of "alleged" or "accused") and then when I say he didn't do it, the nearest person chimes in with some quip that tells me they think he did do it but should go free anyway. Don't get me wrong, I would have the same attitude if he had done it. But he didn't. It makes me feel like the only sane person in the world, even among my staunchly leftist friends.

cozy game is such a weird term to me i feel like it gets applied to so many genres. life sims farming games rpgs survival games strategy games. i saw someone call dont starve a cozy game. i feel like the vibes of dont starve are quite possibly the opposite of cozy actually.

I don’t think we ought to normalize or justify bullying as a means to keep people from being annoying — a sentiment that in and of itself could make for a whole article’s worth of conversation — but I do think we should make a habit of politely but directly telling people “hey I didn’t like that”, “that wasn’t funny”, “you are mistaken”, and the like if it’s called for, and more importantly, you should be able to take a “that wasn’t funny” for instance without taking it personally, because protecting a polite harmony where no one can criticize each other, not even politely, is also really, really bad.
