I was going to just link one of my wip animatics but there are some mouse-drawn frames that are still too ugly even for my standards to share ✋️ they shall remain on my channel until a) I actually finish them or b) I hide them from everyone eyes until the end of time.

Until then. I have this work in progress that is actually a redraw of a redraw.

Aka. I originally drew this thing in 2023 on paper, then forgot about it for wayyy to long and in 2025 I said. WHAT IF ☝️. Comic. ☝️But then I decided to draw and color this in traditional so... for the moment I'm stuck here on the digital mock-up ( ｡ﾟДﾟ｡)

Context: Mu keeps smudging his silly eyebrows makeup bc of bf hugs. And he's not happy about it 😬

So I saw the original, awesome artwork by Lily (hope you don’t mind me addressing you) and couldn’t resist drawing Cas as a mob boss, too. And with tattoos? What more could I wish for...

I fumbled around with the lighting here and... hmm Idk if I’m content with it but, alas, it is what it is. Maybe I’ll do a front version of just his face bc I really want to draw the full tattoo.

Nintendo, why?

Genuinely, why Peachette for the MK8 dlc??

I'm fine with Pauline, Diddy Kong, and Funky Kong, they are long established characters in the mario franchise, and more importantly, they're visually distinct from one another.

But you know who isn't? Peachette.

I'm not saying she's not an established character, she is one, but she's not very visually distinct from the other characters. Her entire point is to be a fusion of Toadette and Peach.

I don't really think she's a good fit as a separate character. If I wanted to look like Peach, I would play as Peach.

If I had the option, I would personally replace her with Captain Falcon.

Why?

Because not having him here breaks the established pattern for adding characters into the game that aren't from the mario universe.

Think about it.

The Inklings (Splatoon) have Urchin Underpass.

Link (The Legend of Zelda) has Hyrule Circuit alongside several kart piece sets.

Finally, the Villagers and Isabelle (Animal Crossing) have Animal Crossing (which has four seasonal variants).

See a pattern here?

In Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, we have not one, but TWO tracks based off of F-Zero, Big Blue and Mute City, in addition to the Blue Falcon kart.

It feels wrong to have these things without Captain Falcon, when the other tracks based on other franchises have their own characters also in the game.

There's also the recent release of F-Zero 99, which is likely stirring up interest in the F-Zero franchise as a whole.

It just doesn't make sense for Nintendo to not capitalize on that, but that could just be me.

I know Nintendo said they'd only be adding in returning characters. I know that I can't change Nintendo's decision. I've accepted it, I'm just disappointed.

thinking about that conversation you have with takemura, where he tells you about his youth and how he joined arasaka. and how even though she sees the paralells between the two of them the whole conversation just pisses her off. he acts like he is so much better than her. takemura started to work for arasaka, v became a gangmember and johnny joined the army. all very different things but ultimately the goal or intention was the same: to get out of a shitty situation

of course! also sorry for the late answer. i’m also gonna mention the sport it’s about.

obviously haikyuu → volleyball

kaze ga tsuyoku fuiteiru → running (this is my absolute favorite anime)

ballroom e youkoso → dancing

ookiku furikabutte → baseball

free → swimming

yuri on ice → figure skating

tsurune → kyuudou 

hoshiai no sora → soft tennis (this deals with quite heavy topics tho but it’s really good and you’ll probably think that the ending is weird but this has a reason. you can either google it or ask me)

ganbare! kickers → football (as a kid i really liked it but i don’t know if it’s actually any good bc i don’t remember much 😂)

also want to mention some that i started but never finished or that i know other people love a lot but i’ve never seen

daiya no ace → baseball (i personally can’t really get into it but so many people love it)

keppeki danshi! aoyama-kun → football (watched like 2 episodes and then i forgot about it)

about the whole college thing and the “well make your own food every day jackass”

the more i think about it though, like okay so. 

say you’ve got 20 hours of class a week, and 40 hours expected of you outside of class for your classes. god forbid if you have a job, there’s more hours gone. and if you’re fortunate to have an apartment then preparing food will be a little easier. 

however, if you’re stuck in the dorms, you have to go to your dorm’s front desk (in the ones i was in anyways) to borrow the key to the floor’s kitchen and you have to return the key by a certain time. We’ll use soup as an example because this is one thing I saw people commenting, telling people to just pack soup or another hot meal for lunches. And if you’re making something like soup to pack for your lunch, there’s the time spent making the soup (which could depend, it could be just a microwave soup), then the time spent doing the dishes every time you make said soup, and to do those dishes (in a dorm) you can either use the bathroom sink, the laundry room sink, or go and borrow the kitchen key to use the kitchen sink. All of these options are a pain in the ass in some way and take more time than you’d think. Bathroom sink: one thing at a time, hard to wash certain dishes. Laundry room sink: get in line buddy you gotta share that one sink with the whole floor. Kitchen sink: 5 minutes + however long it takes you to walk across your dorm to the front desk and that’s just getting the key itself and not counting the act of washing your dishes. 

like you may think ‘oh a half hour preparing a meal + cleaning your dishes a day is nothing’ but when you’ve got 60 hours of classes+homework a week uh. yeah. That’s a half hour that can be spent sleeping or eating.

‘but i didn’t have that many hours of classwork to do!’ that doesn’t mean other people don’t. 

‘but you should take fewer classes’ that was 15 credits (5 classes for me) that required that much time, as of right now at the school i went to if you go lower than 14 credits you are NOT a full time student, and when I was still going it was either 12 or 13. So, dropping one class could drop you below the required minimum.

not everyone lives with their parents and goes to college and can have their parents pack a lunch, which it seems like there’s a lot of the assumption that college students all live at home and have parents that can cook for them.
