It must be instinctual, primordial, like striking two rocks together over and over to see if you could replicate the spark that made you drop the rocks in the mud the first time you made it.
Obi-Wan, who just heard Anakin snap Make me to his offer to have Anakin be the first to use their daily allotment of water provided by their hosts, seems less surprised than Anakin. His eyebrows briefly furrow as he looks Anakin over, but then one rises.
"Alright," Obi-Wan says, voice infuriatingly even as his eyebrow stays arched. "You can wait then."

TItle.
The wood cut into the sand. Deeper than they thought it would. Leaning against the stick - as it shoved their hand (pushing at the back of it) into their ribs. Lifting them to the tips of their toes. Nearly losing all the air in their lungs. Feet falling back into the smooth sand. Sinking enough to balance the blade of stick thrusting up in their hands. Crying out in pain and anger - feeling the rush of the long piece of wood in their hands finding resistance in the air. Cutting through currents felt but invisible. With a large stumbling step forward finishing the strike to feel the momentum take their back foot forward. A flash fire of understanding turning the sand to glass. Stepping with shards coming through their feet. Covered in cuts from the sharp glasses edge - for a moment becoming a million reflections. Doubting the beach that they'd always known - that they'd come from. Fearing that understanding that turns the smooth churn of society into sharp edges. In-land - looking back at the beach of ignorance. Bleeding with understanding. Certain that the land will always defeat but eventually become each beach. That cuts into those that follow.
